I stared at the message in horror, my lips moving on their own as I whispered the words again. “Be careful, he’s watching you.” My heart slammed against my ribs. Who the hell is watching me? And who sent this? My eyes darted around the room, half-expecting to see someone lurking in the corners. I hurried to the door, and twisted the lock with shaking fingers. Then I practically ran to the balcony, shoving the glass door open. The night air hit me like a slap cool, and sharp. I sucked in a deep breath, trying to steady myself. My thumb hovered over the call button, but when I pressed it, the automated voice was cold and final. “The number you have dialed does not exist.” I leaned against the railing, forcing my mind to slow down. Maybe it’s just a prank, maybe some i***t was playing games
