“A liar? What do you mean, Jeremy?” I asked, as the words came out of my mouth before I could stop them, my heart pounding against my ribs like it was trying to escape. Jeremy inhaled sharply, and in one quick motion, he sat up, pulling me by the hands until we were just inches away from each other, as he stared at me. “I know this means nothing, Bella,” he started, his voice low and rough. “Neither does it change anything between us, but I can’t keep deceiving myself, and lying about how I feel.
