Chapter 6 The lie

Lilly

I begin to freak out the Alpha King is coming to our house. I ran down stairs yelling “MOMDADGRAM-GRAMTHEALPHAKINGISCOMINGHERE!!!”. I hadn't realized that between my yelling and freaking out that that all my words ran together and were incoherent. Mom grabbed me “calm down and speak clearly what is going on?” she asked. I took a deep breath “The... Alpha….. King….. is…. Coming….. here….” I said more as calm as I could with breaths in between each word. My mom stumbled back and my dads face looked pale. They must be in as much shock as me I thought. “We need to get ready” I said breaking the silence. My mom and dad went out the back door I guess they want to compose themselves. Me and Gram-gram start getting everything ready she has me put on a nice dress and we made tea and snacks.

Sarah (mom)

As soon as Lilly said we need to get ready I broke from my thoughts and me and James went outside I begin taking deep breaths. “What are we going to do?” I finally said. “We have 2 choices we ether tell her or we wait and see what happens.” James said. “I think we should wait she already has enough to go threw” I said. “If that's what you think is best” said James. I took a few more breaths and we went in side I made some cookies and ham sandwiches. And waited nervously for what was about to happen. Maybe …. I wont have to….. I hope I wont have to… I thought to myself.

Lilly

There was a knock at the door and Gram-gram answered. “Good morning welcome” she said opening the door and in came Thomas behind him a tall muscular man with blond hair and brown eyes and following closely behind him was a handsome man about my age with blond hair and green eyes. Not nearly as handsome as my Thomas but he was good looking. As if he read my mind Thomas introduced them “This is Alpha King Luchian and his son Prince Jack.” Thomas said taking me by the hand “This is Lilly my soon to be Luna.” Looking towards the ground I said “nice to meet you Alpha King Luchian and Prince Jack it is a honer.” The Alpha king looked around the house and then finally said “Stand tall and look at me so I can get a good look at you” I did as he asked looking straight ahead. “You are very beautiful young Luna you have strength I can feel it I think…..” he went silent all of a sudden when his eyes looking behind me I look following his gaze he was looking at my mom.

I was evaluating Lilly something seemed familiar about her. I couldn't put my finger on it then I saw the she-wolf standing against the wall behind her it couldn't be I stood there silent for a moment. “Sabrina is that you?” I asked walking toward her. She was silent but it was her I knew it was it had to be I been looking for her for almost 19 years I thought. “Hello Luchian I go by Sarah now” she said to me. “I have been looking for you ever since you left” I said. “After you found your mate I decided to go look for my mate and that's when I found James.” she told me I had forgot that there were others in the room. “your have a beautiful family and I am happy that you are doing well” I said as I turned back to Lilly. Then it hit me “Lilly how old are you?”. “I’m 21 Alpha King” she said quietly. How can she be 21 when I been looking for Sabrina for a little over 19 years I thought to myself. “Sabrina... I mean Sarah can you and James come have a talk with me outside?.” I said more of an order then a request. “Yes Alpha king” they both said. We went outside.

Sarah

We went outside and walked towards the wood for the conversation we were going to have I didn't want to be herd by anyone I thought to myself. Once we were far enough from the house he spoke “Sarah how do you have a daughter that is 21 when we have only been apart for a little more then 19 years?”. He went straight to the point I thought. The story that we had planed was that Lilly was 7 when I met James 4 years after leaving the king and she was from his previous mate and that the mom had passed but when I went to speak I couldn't lie to him. “Lilly is not actually 21” I found myself saying before I could stop it from coming out. “Sarah are you sure you want to do this?” James asked me via mind link. “I cant lie to him” I mind linked to James. “So I will tell him” I said before disconnecting the link. “Well then how old is she?” he asked. “ummm… well….sh..sh.sheees ummm… sheeeeees…….” I stammered out. “Spit it out” he commands in his Alpha tone. “18 shes 18 okay” I almost yelled falling to my knees. “Who is her biological father” he demanded. “I think you already know that” I said quietly.

With all these thoughts flooding my head I felt the anger flood me my wolf began to come forward I was close to him taking control I started pushing him back once I had control again I asked, “Am I her Father?” She finally looked me in the eyes “Yes but I didn't tell you before because you have your mate and I don't want to ruin that for you but I have my mate and we can just keep this between us everyone thinks she just shifted late” she said almost pleading with me to keep it to myself. How can I keep this to myself I have a daughter a beautiful strong Luna daughter. “Do you not know that my Mate died giving birth to my son Jack?” I asked with sadness in my voice. “I didn’t know that” she said sounding sad. “When did you meet your mate?” I asked her. “when Lilly was 4, that's when we came up with a plan to change Lilly’s age saying she was from a past relationship James had and so we said Lilly was 7.” I was shocked at what I was hearing they had added 3 years to Lilly’s age.

“Why would you do that?” I said angrily. “This is unforgivable how could you do this to me?” I said without letting her answer the first question. “I..I..I’m s...s..sorry we didn't think anyone would find out and I didn't want to ruin your relationship with your mate” she said with fear in her voice falling to the ground. “I didn't know your Luna had passed or I would have told you” she said with tears flowing down her face. “what does her wolf look like?” I asked I needed to know. “well I haven't actually seen her wolf she just shifted 4 days ago and she did it on her own” she stated. 4 days ago her birthday was 4 days ago she let her shift alone. “how could you let her go threw that alone?” my voice boomed at her. “I ….” she started to say but was cut off by a voice coming from their house “Is everything okay?” I hadn't realized how long we had been gone so we headed back.

Lilly

They have been gone for almost an hour I wonder whats going on “Thomas they have been gone along time should we check on them?” I asked. Thomas went out the door and said loud enough for them to hear “Is everything okay?” shortly after they came back into the house I noticed mom and dad looked sad but Alpha King Luchian looked mad I wondered why. “Is.. every...thing... okay?” I asked cautiously hoping that I didn't offend the king and that noting is wrong. “We all need to talk” mom finally said, “you might want to sit down all of you” so me, Gram-gram and Thomas sat down on the couch. After what seemed like forever my mom finally spoke.

“Well there is something we have hid from you for your whole life” she finally said. “you are actually 18 not 21” she confessed. “What are you talking about?” I said. She told me the whole conversation that she had outside with Alpha King Luchian about how they added 3 years to my age and tried to hide who my father is. When she was done I felt my head spinning I must be dreaming was the last thing I remember thinking before everything went black.
