Chapter 5

Then her mouth suddenly opened to talk. She gathered all what she knows about the question and explained what exactly what the teacher wanted. "Wow! That's so brilliant!" The man complimented. "I thought you never knew it. Thank your stars. Sit down" Luna sat down and looked back again to see Drake sleeping already. She didn't want to cause any scene in the class. She rather wait for the teacher to go out, so she could talk to him. Is he invisible too now? That's weird. His powers are really awesome. After some hours later, the teacher went out but Drake was no where to be found before Luna could look back. She knitted her brows in confusion. Then, Nancy and Julian came to her with that same apologetic look they've been holding. "Luna," Julian called but Luna ignored them and walked out of the class to the cafeteria. The two followed her behind. "Luna, we are sorry. We left you yesterday in the forest. It isn't our fault." Said Nancy. "I know. But you should have at least come back to check on me." Luna replied as she sat on a bench in the cafeteria. Then, she felt that same wind again. She needed no one to tell her that Drake is here. And truly he is. He appeared sitting in front of her with a weird smile on his lips. God! What kind of creature is this? "Have you forgiven us?" Nancy interrupted their gaze unknowingly. "Yes! Yes! It's nothing. But just know that you didn't behave like a friend yesterday. I felt betrayed. But thank God I was saved." Luna breathed out. By Drake. "We are sorry once more." Nancy said. "It's okay." "Thanks, we'd get some coffee. We will come back soon." Julian spoke and took Nancy away. "Drake, what the f*ck are you doing here? Why do you keep appearing and disappearing?" Luna whispered. "Is this some kind of your powers or something?" She added. "Like I said, I feel bored and lonely. Just needed someone to be with. And yes, I can be invisible too and that's one of the reason why I'm fit for this mission." Drake responded.   "So, I'm fit to be your companion?" Asked Luna and Drake nodded. "Yes. You're the only one I have connection with. The only one I know right now and trust." Just as Luna was about to say something, Nancy and Julian came. "I saw you talking. Who are you talking to?" Julian asked, looking around them but saw no one. "You don't see who I'm talking to?" Luna said. Still she couldn't believe no one can see him but only her can see Drake.. "Seriously, I can't believe You've been talking to no one since class. Or should I say you've been talking alone all by yourself like someone's with you. That's crazy" Said Nancy. "That should be. You don't know whats wrong with me. Just let me be." Luna's eyes never left Drake as she speaks. "You don't see him?" Luna asked again. "Who is it this time?" Nancy groaned. Nancy was so eager to turn back and see who the guy is. She gently stood up from her seat and traced Luna's gaze but she saw no one. Just no one. Drake saw her. He was staring at her too but she didn't see him. He quickly looked away and turned back to Luna who was staring at him too. The stared at themselves. Luna's jaws were supported by her palms. Her mind traveled far. 'Crazy'. She thought and held a small smile. She shook her head.   Minutes later, the bell rang for everyone to go back to class for lectures. Drake disappeared again like he understood what the bell means. Luna quickly ran to the class and sat on her seat. "Seems like the b***h's friend isn't in a good mood." Gloria came taunting her as she stood in front of her with her maids behind her.  Gloria was just that stupid bully in the college. She was actually a CEO's daughter. "Don't get on my nerves else I will remove every single tooth in your mouth." Luna warned Gloria. "Ohh! Really?" She chuckled. "And who do we have here?" Nancy chipped in as they walked into the class. Luna actually left them in the cafeteria. For some reasons. "It's me. Or should I explain myself?" Gloria grinned broadly and flipped her hair backwards. "You don't need to tell me your status okay? We don't need slut around us. So go." Nancy rolled her eyes at her. Not only the three friends hate Gloria but the whole college students. "Watch your mouth. Watch what you say or you will regret it." Gloria warned angrily. "Hey! Ladies, this shouldn't cause any fight. Gloria, I wanted to see you before. Can we now?" It was shocking. To both Nancy and Luna. "Julian? What do you wanna see this slutty proud girl for?" Nancy questioned. It was visible in her eyes that she's jealous. That face expression she held could tell too. "Nothing, just wanted to have fun. Gloria, let's go." Julian answered and turned to Gloria, he held her hand and led her out of the class. "This is getting more weirder." Luna shrugged. ************ Hours later, the bell rang again and it was time for the students to go back home. Luan turned to Julian and Nancy and said, "Nancy, Julian, I think I'm going to see you tomorrow. I haven't forgiven you yet." She spoke as she quickly put her books into her bag. "Huh? Where are you rushing to?" Asked nancy. "And you said you've forgiven us about what happened yesterday."  "Oh yeah! I said that. Hmm....anyway, I need to be on my way now. I have something to attend to." Luna grinned. "And what's that?"   "I need to go somewhere." She rushed. It's almost three and Drake must have been hungry. What if he's out and gone? Or the scientists found him and took him? Wait! Why am I thinking of that suddenly? She asked herself.  She won't care anyway if he decided to go. To go on the mission without her. Will she?  She won't have to bother herself going to that damn dangerous mission. But anyway, she needs to get home. Luna boarded the first cab that passed her way, told the driver her address and the car kicked off. "Thank you sir." Luna thanked the driver as she gave him the pay. She never thought the driver could drive her down here. All drivers doesn't want to go deeper into the woods especially where Luna's living. Finally, she walked to her door and opened it. "Drake? Hello?" She called but she didn't get a response. "What's happening and why's the house so silent?" She pouted. Or is her thought coming true? He left already.  'I don't think so.' Someone who visited her in school hours ago. He'd tell her he's going alone without her. She was feeling awkward all of a sudden. Everywhere feel strange all of a sudden. Is something wrong? "Drake, I'm here. Are you in there?" Luna spoke again and she moved steadily to the guest room. Just as she was about to open the door. Someone appeared behind her and she turned back. "F*ck! You scared me, Drake!" She yelled, placing her hand on her chest. "I'm sorry." He apologized but Luna stared at him closely.  She felt something different all of a sudden. She felt her heart beat fast as she gazed more at him. It's just his eyes changing colors and nothing more. The next second, amber, next can be his emerald green eyes. And, his body skin changing slightly to red. What's happening? His body isn't like this before. Since when as she started noticing him. If this Drake guy is really going to scare her life out or make her die before her time, it's better to drive him out of her house. Everyday, weird things happening.  She hasn't recovered yet from seeing his animal form. Well, this one happening here is still a minor case. "Why...why are you different all of a sudden. Your body color changing and eyes flickering both amber and green." Luna began. That shouldn't bother her. Isn't it? He's a supernatural being and can change to anything. "Oh yes! This is just a reminder that the full moon is coming where every changeling will turn to their beast form. And for the dragons, our eyes flickers and body color turning to the color of our beast. As you've saw me then, my dragon form is red."  "Yes, red and has some kind of white." Luna finally understood. "Your school is huge and great. I did some tour by my self before coming back here." Drake began. "This supernatural powers of yours is really driving me crazy like seriously." She snorted and walked towards the kitchen. "Have you eaten?" She asked. "I haven't. I was waiting for you to prepare like that noddles we ate at the restaurant." Drake shook his head. "I can't deny my powers, you know." He replied her first statement. "I'm not saying you should deny your powers. But you using it around is driving me crazy. My friends almost thought I'm running mad when you suddenly appeared." Luna felt little annoyed. She brought noodles and its ingredients from the cupboard and started cooking. "Sorry. Let's start the mission tomorrow." Drake blurted all of a sudden. "What?! Unprepared?!" Luna shrieked, turning away from the noodles to him. "You fought a war before?" "No, you don't expect a someone who's even scared of cockroach to go for a war. Why did you say that?" She turned away. "The way you shouted 'Unprepared?' You must have know that someone can't go on a war without being prepared."  "I have exams started from next week to next month. Two weeks." Luna said. "We don't have to go on the mission just yet. But we need to start planning. I don't want to waste time or even yours." "I know. We will start the plan tomorrow but do we even know where this people are?" "We can. I think we can." Drake nodded. "Alright!" ********** Luna was done and she served Drake his portion of noddles.  After the meal,  "Luna?" Drake called. The two were actually in the kitchen washing the used plates and michael was helping even though he was bad at washing. "Huh? What?" Luna turned to him as soon as she dropped the glass cup in her hands down. "You are nice and beautiful." He told her. Luna frowned with a small smile. "Are you checking me out or something?"  "No, I'm just saying the truth. I mostly do say what's on my mind instead of keeping it. But I'm not here to check you out or something, I'm only here for my mission." Drake stated. "Good you remember that. Gosh! You're bad at washing. I don't think you do house chores in your kingdom there."  "Yeah. You caught me there." ************* Nancy walked down the busy street with a packet of cornflakes in her hands. Her mom had sent her to get it down the road few hours after she came back from school. "Do I need to see Luna? She actually left the school early than before."  She saw her walking out of the school in a rush like a crazy woman. As her friend, she was concerned. "Maybe that will do. Argh! I need to go to that house that's built around that scary forest" she whined and stamped her feet hard before walking again. Her phone rang and it was Julian calling. "Yes, Julian." "Can I come to your house now? I feel bored right now." He said. "Uhm...yes, you can come. I was actually going to Luna's house after delivering this cornflakes to mom but I don't think that'd be necessary again." She giggled and jumped happily..
