❣ Chapter 1❣ The day was so bright which made Nancy woke up, smiling beautifully at the sky.  "It's a new day again. What's today's date?" She asked herself and came down from the bed to check the date on her phone. "Oh my! We are going to camp tomorrow?" She grinnedt and jumped on her bed again. "Argh! I can't wait to get to that 'Devil's forest' people thought it's scary." She scoffed and smiled to herself. The devil forest was known in the country as the scariest and haunted forest in the country. But still, everyone who got there, comes back alive and healthy. She and her college friends had decided to go camping in the forest for two days to have fun. Her phone rang, jolting her out of reverie and picked the call. "Are you still sleeping or you just woke up from the bed. I'm sure you're yet to take your bath." Julian said over the phone. "You know me too well, Julian. Anyway, i just woke up and I'm yet to take my bath. I was thinking of how our camping is going to be." Nancy answered. "Yeah, I just thought of that too but do you think Luna will be able to cope? I mean she's always frightened at every little thing." Julian answered. "Leave her. She's the one who wanted to go. We never forced her to come along with us." Nancy responded. Surprisingly, Luna's house was two miles away from the forest. So why would she be scared of the forest?  "Okay, I wanted to call to see how you're doing? Think of me throughout today, okay?" He chuckled and hung up, not wanting to hear her words. "As if I don't have anything to do." Nancy rolled her eyes and got ready for the day. At night, Luna jumped right from her couch and ran to the kitchen to take a knife. She had been hearing this strange sounds for the past two days now and she hadn't been at rest. The house was peaceful before even if it miles away from the forests. She afforded the house cause it was cheaper and quiet.  "Who's there?" She asked no one in particular, looking around the dim room with her bright green eyes as she walked outside the house. She looked over but saw nothing. Her house was the last the area and before she could see other buildings, she did take almost twenty minutes to get to the busy street. "Roarrrrr" Somethinh roared behind her and Luna turned back to see who it was but still, no one. "Who's there? Just come out and I won't hurt you." She said quietly and calmly. Then, she dropped her raised hand down. She was trembling with fear but she acted normal. There came a rustling sound afterwards and everything became silent again.  " Does wild animals live around my house?" She asked herself as she walked back to her house. That roar isn't just a roar. That can't be a lion. This is just the disadvantages for accepting this house.  Maybe she needs to pack out before she become food for animals. Luna was just a girl of twenty-five. She was in her final year in college. Luna couldn't just wait for morning to come. So, she could be at rest. Finally, she fell asleep on the floor. ** She took her bath and packed her tent and some clothes then, necessary things she needed for the camp and walked out of the house. Luna waited for her friends and while she did that, she surveyed her house round to see if she could find anything suspicious but she didn't. What happened last night still scare her out. That was the first time she heard a roar without seeing the animal. But what about where she's going? Yes, she'd tell her friends she was going with them. She wanted to make them believe she isn't the scared girl they know her of.  Not only that, she wanted to make a tour into the forest since her friends wanted to go. She's going to die of fear if she goes alone into that forest. "Luna!! We are here, let's get going or have you changed your mind?" Nancy yelled from outside, indicating they are around. They were just three going for the camp. Luna, Nancy and Julian. As soon as Luna got to them, she said, "Let's go. I'm not changing my mind." She answered firmly. "Wow! She seems to be brave for the first time." Julian teased and they laughed.  They made their way to the forest.  .............Dracan Empire........... Two days ago, At The Palace, "My King, please, don't send my son to that place. They are going to capture, torture and probably kill him like others." Drake's Mother pleaded in tears as she tried to hold the King's leg but the guards stopped her. "He's the strongest of all the dragons. I admit. And I wasn't the one who forced him to go for the mission. Let him use his powers and strength to set us free and those captured by the humans. I hear their cries every night." The king said in a tight whisper.   "I don't want my son to be an experiment to them. What if they catch him? I don't want my son to be like me, like you, like others here and those in the human's cage. Please let another person go."  "Mom?" Drake's voice made her turned away from the king to her son. "Are you begging the king not to allow me go on this mission?"  "Drake, you don't have to go. I don't want to lose you. You're the one who can save or whatever because everyone is weak and can't fight........" The woman ran to her son and hugged him tightly. "Mom, you know I will be too stubborn to listen to you when it comes to that." Drake sighed. "I'm going to bring our people back. I'm going to bring dad, Alina and Aine. Please support me."  At the mention of those three people, she calmed down a bit and stared at her son with teary eyes.  "Please, promise me you're going to bring those people back to me. Promise me you're going to fufill this and come back so we can live ever after. Bring your dad and twin sisters, Drake."  "I will mom. I promise." Drake turned to the king and went on his knees. "I will be going, my Lord." He stated. "I wish you a successful mission. Take and make use this portal rings when you need it." The king handed him a small sack containing rings. "Go!" He commanded. Drake turned to his mother and waved his hand at her as he walked out of the Palace. He needs a human to play part in this. A human trust. But it's going to be hard. Alice cried as she saw her son vanish.
