Panic surged through Hazel's veins as she was pulled further away from the City Hall, struggling against the restraining grip. She lifted her ankle just right, then slammed her heel hard against his feet. The impact had the grip loosening. She spun around and came face to face with her captor, her breathing raged. "What do you think you're doing?!" she spat, eyes blazing as they locked into his. A groan escaped Felix's lips while he stood there, his expression a mix of guilt and desperation. He stepped forward, his eyes darting to the hall in the distance. "You think everyone is there to watch you perform?" He shook his head. "They're there to taunt you, Hazel. You don't have to go ahead with this." He stepped closer, taking her hand, but Hazel ripped it from his grasp, stepping back.
