I find Raya in the common room, she is sitting on the wide window sill with a book and I can help but wonder if she is still angry with me.
Emilie and I had decided to make an announcement, telling the pack that we were never true mates, but chosen mates, and it was a choice we made because we had both lost our true mate. We hoped it would make the whispers and rumors die down.
Raya had not been happy, not so much that we went out and told the pack, but more that he had not asked her what she thought first. I have of course apologized … several times … but she has not fully forgiven me yet.
“Hi baby”. I gently touch her leg. “What are you reading ?”
She just holds up the book, showing me the cover.
“Raya, how long are you going to be angry with me ?” I say softly.
