“So, it seems you might be able to leave later today”. I tell Raya, as we walk along the edge of the forest. Neither me or my wolf likes the idea of her leaving, but I am unsure what to do, how to keep her here.
“Yeah”. She bites her lip. “Zay, I really am sorry about everything last night. I have no idea what got into me”.
I shake my head. “Don’t think about it, I … I was in on most of it too, and I don't feel offended”.
“Still, I shouldn’t”. She is looking at the forest. “I mean you have a Luna, and I will have to leave soon … we are no longer the teenagers we used to be”.
“No, we are not”. I admit, no matter how much I would wish we still were, we will never be able to go back to that world of innocence. “But do you have to leave ?”
