He couldn’t sleep

*Zay* I awake hours later, knowing it is the middle of the night, everything is silent beside the crickets singing outside and Raya’s soft breathing from the other bed. The sleep has done me real good, helped me heal and restore my strength. I feel much better and not tired at all, and I lay for some time, just looking up at the roof, thinking about everything that has happened. And my thoughts go to our very heated encounter at the waterfall, making my pulse quicken a bit, and heat rise through my body. She really is quite special, my mate, she is so very different from most women I met. My next decision might be rash and it might be stupid, but we leave tomorrow, and I don't know when we have time alone again or what will happen once we get back to civilisation. I get out of my bed
