The water is cold despite the hot weather, and I think it might be due to the depth of the lake and the fact that it has cold springs from the mountains running into it. Of course it is not cold to a degree where the temperature will hurt me, but enough that I have to fight not to gasp and breathe in water.
As I feel myself slowly sink I am thinking of Zay, if he will ever know or if they will somehow manage to make him believe some lie.
My next thought is to my wolf, what will happen to her when I die ? Is she separated enough from me by now to continue living or will she perish ? That would be another immense blow to Zay.
