Episode 2 : shattered hopes

"If you are done . You can leave." Milinda's cold voice bring Lucas to the present. Then she took her seat opposite of Lucas. However Lucas was helpless he was about to leave he heard light hiss from somewhere.. when look forward he noticed that Milinda was in pain and as per her personality she didn't show on face but her eyes betrayed her ... She was in stomachache.. "What are you still doing here? Get lost!!!" Milinda shouted at Lucas. He hurriedly open the door and leave immediately. Carli who was packing heard her voice from outside but didn't bother to look at her. On the other hand Milinda took out her phone and called her driver. She left all her work aside and rush to the hospital. She took emergency appointment . Female Doctor took her to the checking room. Unfortunately she bumped into Lucas!! " Can't you just see ..." he stopped when he rise his head it was Milinda.. he felt shocked and joyful also. But immediately his face fell down when he noticed pain on her face ... He hurriedly support her.. she wants to j******f but she was in unbearable pain now .. suddenly she kneel down.. Lucas felt like his heart is cutting with sharp knife... he didn't think about anything else and took her in his arm.. Doctor directed him to ward where he gently put her down on hospital bed. Doctor told him to wait outside. After 10 minutes later Doctor came from ward . Lucas rushed to the Doctor as he asked " how is she? " " She is fine but she needs proper rest and care also, oh by the way who are you to her? " Doctor touched his nerve. ' she is mother of my child , if she accepts my proposal she will become my wife soon. ' Doctor spoke again " nevermind just inform her guardian about take her to the house now. As Doctor was passing by him he came in front of doctor and ask her " how is her baby" she was shocked ' how on earth he read my mind that she is pregnant? As per I know she didn't tell anyone about it but this person know that, that means.. ' she was stop thinking when he faced angry Lucas Blackwood.. she immediately replied " pardon me. I can't reveal anything personal information about our patient. " " What if I say that I'm father of her child?'' Doctor was loss of words because Milinda gave instructions for keep this secret, but now that this person is claiming that he is father what should she do? " If you don't reply you don't have to come to the hospital from now on plus you can't work in any other hospital" Doctor was trembling from fear when Lucas said that. What could he do when it comes to his child . He has all the right to know about his child's health. Doctor replied very fearfully " mercy me sir.. Madam told me to keep this secret , if I utter a word she will kill me.. " she kneel down and begged in front of him.. Lucas was joyful person also kind hearted so he forgot all the things and help doctor to stand up , he help her to seat at nearby chair. She was crying by now.. Lucas gave him hanky and glass of water. Doctor gulp down in one go. After few seconds she calm down as Lucas gave him assurance that nothing would happen to her. They head to the Doctor's cabin.

After 30 minutes later when Lucas came to parking lot he gave his car keys to his driver and start walking outside. " Sir it's very cold outside don't go like this" driver told him worriedly . Lucas looked very helpless and sad at the moment. He just said he need some time alone. Driver want to argue but seeing his state his didn't say anything else and left.

Lucas was walking in the street like broken person.. Doctor's voice was ringing in his head the more he thinks about their conversation in cabin the more he felt angrier and sad at the same time.. it was unbelievable but truth also.. it was his only chance and after what doctor Said his all hopes shattered into pieces.. .
