Ronan.
I released myself from Caden’s embrace and was relieved to see the hard lines across his forehead reduce a little bit.
I looked over his tall frame, hoping to catch a glimpse of Ronan’s stoic expression but he was not there.
Where did he go?
“He just stepped out.” He said, as though he could read my thoughts.
“Ohh.” I replied, clearly lost for words.
My eyes darted to and fro the door and the hospital garment of white I had on me. I could not wait to be put out of such things.
