ETHAN I glanced at my phone again, hoping to make sense of what I’d just heard, but the caller's warning replayed in my head like an echo. All day, I’d barely managed to concentrate on anything else, trying to push the annoying caller’s voice aside, but it refused to be silenced. My mind kept returning to it, to the urgency in the caller’s tone, and more importantly, to the warning about Alpha Ronan.
