Chapter-10 The Walls

After a few months of training through books and, well, a little slacking off. The time has come. "The Era" of the event.

"WOHHHOOOO, let's go! We can do this" Aline said.

"Lady, don't shout, my lord and the duchess will hear it" Anna said.

"hehe sorry"

A few minutes after getting into the carriage, Aline was bewildered.

'DANG! My head is messed up, I'm so nervous I could die...Show up now Arrie, this damn event is suffocating', Aline thought.

While entering the academy gates, spokespersons start to welcome guests of prestigious families.

"Good Day Everyone! Welcome to the once in a lifetime event called The Era, racing to be the most powerful family associated with the Imperials in the future."

' AHUH, I see it's pretty casual when we're on the walls of the academy because, as I know, they value equality between students, whether a baron, marquis, duke, royals, or even imperials. Even commoners are allowed to enter the exams. HASSHH this is such a headache.' Aline thought while entering the academy walls.

A while after completely entering the academy, a big fuss began to show up.

"Oh my, who is that? What family is she?" the woman said.

"That badge, the Lambert family! They had great businesses, they produced great knights and the salvation of the crisis of the Imperial Family."

"How about that one with the blue one?"

"The Lancasters, how could you not know them? They are known to produce many incredible knights who fought before the end of the Perez Empire."

'Woah, this is such a big scene I'm a bit embarrassed about it. It's like I'm popping out of a fictional novel. Nevertheless, I don't know them yet, not even their names. I just know their houses and titles.' Aline sighed.

'Before that, we had a little time, so let's review our history classes'

'The Perez Empire is one of the most powerful and biggest continents of all time, even though there was a war decades ago, the Empire was able to survive with the help of the Lancasters, and the financial support of the Lamberts, which's why the Lamberts were the salvation of the Imperial Family at that time. Believe it or not, magic exists in this world, where the Windsors are known to be the pure descendants of the goddesses' magic. Well, all of us have mana and that's where our magic comes from, but as the myths say, Windsors have a pure manifestation of mana.

While Rinaldi's is one of the most intelligent ones where different kinds of inventions are made by them using magic and non-magic materials, industrial activities, education of commoners are the ones that Rinaldi is improving in the empire, even updating technology is one of their priorities, because some people can't manifest mana, that's why with the help of the windsors they can update it thoroughly with or without mana. Lancasters, even though the 3 dukedoms produce incredible knights, Lancaster's knights were trained while using mana, and with mana, they can also be good at one on one combat, which makes them produce much stronger knights than those of the 3 dukedoms. Anyhow, they also produce many weapons, whether it is a bow, sword, spear or armor, which are all made from magic stones, and metallic and non-metallic elements, because of the high quality products made by Lancasters, Lamberts invests in them, and now it's the best selling weapons and knights armor in the Empire.

In conclusion, there are four great dukedoms of the Perez Empire, which: The Lambert's, which are known for money and business, The Windsors, which are known for their magic, The Lancasters, which produce incredible knights and also produces high quality knight's wear, and the Rinaldi's, which have high intelligence. These four dukedoms help the Imperial Family in creating laws, leading people on their different continents, and so on...' Aline reviewed in her head.

A minute later, noise began to pile up.

"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..."

"What's that sound?" Aline said.

" Ladies and gentlemen, the first test will begin, so please come this way" the spokesperson said.

"Oh it's the test... bye now Anna, see you later!"

"Oh my Lady, good luck on your test."

A while ago in a room somewhere inside the academy. While entering the room and picking where to sit,

"Do you have any questions?"

"None" they all said.

"If none, feel free to check the room, do not sneak outside of the door, don't sneak out of the window if not needed.You have 10 minutes. Let the test begin!"

'HUH?', a big uproar in the examiner's mind.

'What the hell happened, wait, is this some kind of logical thinking in the movies that I have watched... It's too obvious,' Aline said.

'What to do?'

While Aline is thinking of a first move, 'Nordin Windsor' and 'Caleb Rinaldi' begin to stand up.

'This is such a petty test', Caleb thought.

'First let's look up in the room', he added.

While Caleb is observing his surroundings, Nordin Windsor, begins to chat with his sister 'Niamh Windsor'.

"Hey Niamh, what do you want to do with the test?"

"Well, we can wait, do whatever you want to do" she replied.

" If that's what you say, so then..." Nordin answered.

As the two both standup, and the conversation is heard, it causes a big fuss among the examinees.

"Woah, you see that? Windsor's and the Renaldi both standup. Let's copy them if you want". the others whispered to each other.

"Well, nothing is happening, so yeah, let's do that," the other said.

As all of them standup in the room to find some clues. Aline remained in her position.

'Woah, they really all standup, no doubt the two Windsor siblings and Rinaldi really are outstanding. Anyway, I don't really care...

Let's see, let's rewind a little bit. The host said "If none, feel free to check the room, do not sneak outside of the door, don't sneak out of the window if not needed. You have 10 minutes. Let the test begin!". Oh, I had an Idea. Observe your surroundings Aline...' she thought deeply.

Then a while after, she left the room.

"Fuhh that's easy" Aline whispered.

"WHAT!" the examiners said.

"You got that right," Leon Lancaster replied to Lambert.

"Wow, how did you get in there?" Arrie said.

"Well, there's a passage way at the tips of our fingers in our desk" Leon Lancaster said.

"Yeah your pretty right, Leon" Nordin said.

Meanwhile... "Pretty easy for beginners!" said Caleb, who was standing outside the window.

"Ah...

"Examiners, the first test has ended. CONGRATULATIONS!"

Before Aline could speak of what was going on, the spokesman arrived, and shouted that the first test had ended...
