Part 2: Her Saviour
Maranda took a deep breath after Keston was pulled off of her. She has never felt so violated since she was five. All the memories came flooding back to her like a dam that finally broke free, causing her to have a panic attack. The guy who pulled Keston off of her saw this and started speaking to her in a soothing voice, “Follow the sound of my voice,” he said, “you need to breathe. Breathe for me, everything is ok now just breathe.” Maranda hearing this started to calm down gradually. Seeing this, the guy said, “That’s it everything is going to be ok, he can’t hurt you anymore.” Maranda came down from her hysteria and looked into the warm brown eyes of her saviour, feeling all her worries and fears disappear the longer she looked into them. “Are you ok now?” She heard the person attached to the eyes say. It took all of five minutes for Maranda to form a coherent sentence. But when she could she said, “I am now thanks to you. I am Maranda and you are?” Camille hearing the commotion rushed to the washroom to see what was going on. Seeing Maranda on the floor speaking to a sexy guy that wasn’t Keston. She suddenly went to Maranda looking worried, interrupting their conversation in the process. “Are you ok Mary? I am so sorry, I had no idea that he was that type of person. I promise to never coerce you into going on dates again,” Camille said apologetically. While they were talking her saviour slipped out quietly before Maranda realized.
Unknown POV:
Oh, so Maranda is her name. I was wondering about that heart stopping beauty, who caused my heart to palpitate when I saw her. If I didn’t follow that suspicious looking male who followed her. She would’ve been violated and I couldn’t have that, she is to be mine. From the moment that I saw her walking through the doors of Starlight I knew that I must have her and I will. We shall meet again my sweet. You will be mine eventually.
One week later….
Maranda is getting dressed to go to the mall and shop with her best friend Camille and their friend Kesha. But for whatever reason she can’t stop thinking about the warm brown eyes of her saviour. What was wrong with her? Man nothing! They were vile in nature and couldn’t be trusted. Especially after what happened last week, he started off so sweet who knew that he was hiding that kind of monster. But no matter how much she tried to convince herself to leave him alone, she couldn’t and she prayed to see him today so she could finally get his name and number, he was very good looking after all.
Sea View Mall….
“Can we please go to the food court now? I am really hungry,” Kesha whined. We all agreed and headed to the food court. We were very successful in our endeavours as broadcasted by the number of shopping bags each of us held. Whilst sitting in the food court I felt eyes on me. I have grown accustomed to this occurrence but something about this felt different, intense actually. This caused me to look up, but what I saw I wasn’t prepared for. As I looked up I found myself looking into the warm brown eyes of my knight in shining armor, the man that has been giving me sleepless nights for a week now. My breath hitched in my throat, as my mind went blank and I temporarily lost my ability to form rational sentences. “It’s nice to meet you again Maranda. I am Marlon Marshall,” he said smiling from ear to ear. God he was good looking and when he smiled it was blinding. “N….nice t….to meet you again Marlon,” I stuttered out. Smooth Maranda, real smooth. I chastised myself feeling like a complete i***t. He already thinks that I am a damsel in distress, now he must think that I am a fool because I can't speak properly all of a sudden.
