Vivian slept more peacefully than she had in days. Still half-asleep, she rubbed her cheek against the pillow. The cool, silky texture jolted her awake. The pillows at home were made of brushed fabric. This one was silk. In the dark room, a faint hint of sandalwood drifted into her senses. It was Brandon's scent. Lying in a strange bed felt like stepping into another man's world, surrounded by traces of his presence. This was clearly Brandon's bedroom.
