Crunch after crunch, footsteps approached where Rydar and Lucas stood, making them both turn their heads in the direction of the sound until a figure in a black suit appeared from behind the trees.
The man bowed low in reverence for the alpha and also gave Rydar a curt bow.
"She's here, Alpha," he announced to Lucas.
Lucas exhaled a tired sigh and stepped a few paces away from his horse.
"I'm too tired to go all the way back to my office right now," he grumbled, "Tell her we'll have the meeting at the gallery instead. It's much closer than the mansion."
The man inclined his head obediently.
"As you wish, Alpha."
While Lucas was busy instructing the man, he could see Rydar already wandering away with his horse, but said nothing about it.
"You may leave now," Lucas dismissed the man
