The prayer went on, only to draw to a close about fifteen minutes later, and everyone started heading back to their various locations again. There was a secluded dining hall waiting just a short distance away from the prayer ground where everyone would have dinner.
So many mouth-watering dishes to choose from, Elara noted to herself when she stood in front of the buffet stand. Liam wasn't with her; apparently, he had to take a quick phone call, so Elara was alone at the stand. It was at this time that Rydar grabbed the opportunity to join Elara.
He picked up a plate of his own even though he wasn't hungry for anything called food that night.
"Hey," he greeted Elara, sidling up beside her.
Elara turned, "Hey," she replied very normally and briefly, before facing her plate again.
