"Is everyone ok?" I ask looking around, 'Fox' seems more concerned with me and somehow my hand has ended up in his and he's holding it tightly. "I'm ok." Cara calls from my kitchen. "We're good." Charles calls from the couch where he's sitting Sarah down. "Missing my deer meat, but me and Sims are good." Johnny calls out and pats Sims on the back. "All good." Blake says behind me. "Yup, I'm all in one piece." Fritz decides from near the windows. Evan is suddenly in front of me, cupping my face in his hands. "I'm fine are you alright, that was an incredible amount of power you just used and for that particular trick it could take some getting used to." 'Fox' tries to pull away but I grip his hand even tighter and he seems to get the hint and stays put. "I think I'm fine." I turn to look at Fox, "Are you alright?" He seems surprised that I would ask but nods his head assuring me that he's fine. "Where are we?" Cara asks looking out of the wall of windows as 'Fox' helps me up, he tries to pull away again but I look him in the eyes and stop him in his tracks. "Wait." I whisper to him. "This is my place." I state plainly and then look back at him. "Come with me?" I ask and he nods with a curious but obliging look. I start to lead him back to my bedroom when Evan calls from behind us. "Wait, we have to figure out what we are going to do?" He says worried. "I think we have some time." I state and try to return to what I was doing but he's not so convinced. "I don't..." He starts but I put my hand up stopping him mid-sentence. "Do you think they’re going to track us across continents, through magic and into an apartment that is owned through my boss and my name nor anyone in this room has any connection to? NO one knows were here and I need to take a minute, is that alright with you?" I ask sounding angry even though I don't mean to. I am done, I had thought it was finally over and he knew and then it turns out it was a prophetic dream and some creep wearing my mates face. Not to mention yet another person or group wants me dead, surprise, surprise! I have had enough, I am telling him now before I can be mistaken or someone tries to come and pull us apart. Again. I pull him into my room, shut the door, lock it and sit down on the bench at the end of my bed to take off my boots. "It would seem that neither of us has been very honest?" I say rubbing my ankle, I seemed to have hurt it when we landed here. "I am sorry, I told them there was nothing here, nothing to collect or kill. I told them not to come. They have always taken my word before, I should have told you about them and what they were after." He seems to be chastising himself and combs a hand through his brown hair. He comes over and sits down next to me examining my ankle, "Does it hurt?" He asks taking it in his hands and rubbing it gently. "A little." I say studying him, he's so interesting or maybe I'm just like a child with a new puppy. "What happens when my spark touches you?" I ask sounding curious, I am curious and excited, anxious and scared. He holds up his hand and lets me use my electric current on him, it caresses over his skin like it did with Evan, though I'm not making it do so and I don't think he is either, his breath hitches in his throat and I can see a spark zap across his pupils. "Wow." I whisper. "It seems to have the opposite effect." He breaths and returns his hand and eyes to my ankle. "What did you mean by ‘we’ haven't been very honest?" He asks but continues to rub my ankle and stare down at my foot. "I haven't told you everything about myself...where you’re concerned!" I say quietly, I expect him to be shocked or appalled or move, stand, act like I'm about to drop a bomb on his head but he just sits there rubbing my ankle like those words were a trifle. "Whatever it is I'm sure I've heard worse." He says frowning a little as he looks down at my ankle. "It's bruised, weird I didn't think we landed hard enough for that to happen." "I really hope you don't think this is worse." I say quietly. "Where is she?" Someone yells from down the hall, s**t, Kent figured out we were here. I get up and limp to the door, my ankle hurting worse now. "It could be the Vervain." I say looking back at him, just before I swing open the door to see Masters standing in front of it, a deep scowl marring his handsome features, I hadn't realized he was shorter than 'Fox' though, interesting. "I send you in on a peace mission and now I hear the Queen has declared war on the Titans, of which you are harboring three of them in my building, are you trying to get us all killed? What the hell happened out there?" He exclaims angrily. "Four in fact." I say as 'Fox' comes into view, to stand behind me. "And if the queen hadn't tried to kill Evan and me and hadn't burned the treaty in my face. I wouldn't be hiding from her and her mob of steroid induced vampire minions or the Company, whoever they are and any number of Titans that apparently want me dead as well. Why don't you go ask Fritz what's going on, do you know who he is?" I ask and he just looks at me sort of stunned, "He's the vampire prince that's sitting on my couch, now if you will excuse me, we were in the middle of something." "Ilena we need to talk about this." He says as I go to close the door, but Fox stops me and looks Kent right in the eyes. "She said she's busy." He growls at him and closes the door, grabs my arm and turns me to face him as he backs me against the door. "Ilena?" He asks softly as if just saying it will make it not true. "I am...was trying to...going to explai...." He kisses me, it’s hard and bruising, passionate and demanding. He leans down, grabbing my thighs and lifts me up pressing my back against the door as I wrap my arms around his neck. He tastes so good, better than I dreamed, I wrap my legs around him, pulling him even closer to me. His body feels so good against mine, so right, perfectly aligned, he wraps an arm around me lifting up my shirt, as I unbutton his. His skin touch's mine setting me on fire, my blood searing through my veins, it seems to have the same effect in him, making him growl deep in his chest. His tongue gently probing past my lips to taste me fully, our tongues dancing intricately, slowly. I snake my hands into the back of his shirt to rub my fingers of the ridges of his back, he breathes deep and arches into me. "Ilena," He breathes softly, "How long have you known?" He asks and lightly kisses my shoulder, but doesn't back away or put me down. I point to the visible scar on my shoulder and smirk, "Moments after the bullets went in, I could smell you, your blood, feel it dripping into my veins...and then when Evan and Charles brought you back...I knew you didn't recognize me and didn't know that we were... And then of course Evan just had to mess with you." "Why didn't you tell me?" He asks putting me down and taking a couple of steps. "I wanted to know more about you, I needed to know that you weren't going to be disappointed and only really want the girl I was before, I'm so different now...well I guess not as different as I thought but even you didn't recognize me." I try to stay focused but he's pacing now and I can see the contours of his body as they move, I can’t help the small moan I let loose but I do my best to hide it in my words. "Have you been alone all this time, thirteen years is a long time to wait for one woman?" "It has been very lonely but I've been waiting a lot longer than that, it’s only been the last thirteen years that I knew who you were." He says painfully. "How long?" Curiosity getting the best of me. "I was born in 1603, I've been looking for you for over five hundred years." He states but still I can hear the pain in his voice. "And I thought waiting five days was painful." I whisper as he takes my hand to lead me back over to the bench, my ankle still hurts so I limp a little but not too much. No sooner are we sitting does he have my ankle in his lap again but this time he can’t take his eyes off of me instead of my foot. "What happen all those years ago anyway, I couldn't find any trace of you after I sent the jewelry?" "Oh um, five minutes after I met you I had lunch with a woman that said she had the perfect job for me, she sent me down to see Kent Masters, or I assume she did, otherwise I'm very late for an interview." He smiles, "Walked in on a blood donation interview line and met Charles. They gave me the job, turned me later that night, by the next night they had cleaned out my apartment and given me this one, that's when I got the jewelry you sent, which is at the fringing cabin, that ass. If he hadn't pretended to be you I might not have left it behind." I face palm, what a jerk. "I'm sure Darious will have anything left there sent back for you." He said with certainty. "Yeah, I guess I need to grab a new shirt.' I say looking down at my tattered tank that was only meant for sleeping in not teleporting across the Atlantic. "I'll go see what's going on." He says sounding none too happy about our separation, I stand and he pulls me back to him, careful of my ankle. His kiss is gentle and slow, savoring every nuance, his taste, his smell, everything about him is intoxicating to me. It’s almost baffling that were not already in between the sheets, but we don't have the time now, as much as it pains me and probably him, it will have to wait. "Hey, I'm not going anywhere this time. Trust me, I won’t be going anywhere without you." I say convincingly and he stands, giving me one more chaste kiss and we part ways. "I know just making up for lost time is all." He grins as he closes the door behind him. I hobble to my closet, stripping once I'm inside until all I'm wearing is my lace underwear, I grab a pair of dark dress jeans, a pair of brown, under the knee boots, I find an ankle wrap in the medical kit under my sink and a new black tank and a blue open front sweater to throw over it. I throw all this on the ottomans in the middle of the room and sit down so that I can wrap my ankle. I stand making sure it’s on correctly, I put pressure on it and it seems to help a little and will hopefully help it from getting any worse. I stay standing, just put my hurt ankle leg bent on the cushion and lift the other side of the seat, a number pad lay hidden underneath, I put my code in and the side drawer pops open, I lean over pulling it open further to show my entire collection of guns, bullets and holsters, for said guns. I pick up one of my small hand guns and check the sight, making sure it’s clear and then make sure it’s loaded correctly. "Damn." I hear huskily whispered behind me, I look over my shoulder knowing who it is. "Sorry." Nolan apologizes and turns around, but I know for a fact that there's a mirror over there that he will be able to see me in. "It's alright, what do you need?" I ask not moving to hide myself, this is my closet after all. "Charles said you had a hidden weapons reserve?" He asks seeming flustered and his breathing hitches, seems he found the mirror. "It's right here if you would like to come take a look." I tease and I can practically hear him fighting his inner gentlemen. "That would be a bad idea..." He breathes. I roll my eyes and slip on my jeans and tank, "You can turn around." I say to him and he turns slowly to make sure I'm not tricking him and then walks over. He looks down into the drawer as I slip on my boots. "Impressive." He says in that sexy tone I love, it’s deep and vibrates through my chest. "Yeah, um, Charles and Kent have helped me pick out a couple over the years, I've only recently started picking them out on my own." I say trying to make idle chit chat but apparently that isn't a thing with mates that haven't mated. "Oh, yeah, the guns are nice too." He says with a sexy grin, that makes me want to take my clothes back off. "Watch it Fox, I play this game very well and I don't play fair when I'm not sated." I seduce as I make my way towards the bathroom. He grabs my arm and pulls me back to him, staring deep into my eyes. "Say it." He requested quietly, it reminds me that he had to wait the last thirteen years for me and I still haven't said his name out loud, well at least not to him. "You know I didn't know...right, if I had..." I sadly try to explain. "I know, just say it!" He politely demands but I can tell he needs me to do this, it’s not part of any game. "Nolan."
