11. Pearl

I had come to the moon rock about an hour earlier, than I was meeting Aaron. I wanted to think, go through what I was going to say to him. I know that I am not going to reject him, I wanted him to stay, but I also knew that I did not want him to be with any of my sisters. There is no chance in this lifetime, that my mom and dad, was letting me be with him, even though he is my mate.

My mate, the mate they told me didn't exist, because I already got the greatest gift of all. The power of healing.

I could go with him, but since I was never allowed off pack grounds, I didn't know what was out there, and my mom and dad would never let me go. They had big plans for me as future pack doctor.

Like the rest of my sisters, who got to go to high school, go to restaurants and go shopping in the city, I was home schooled, by my mother, I got to shop online and have my sisters bring it back from wherever they got it.

They also always told me, that I would never be able to have kids. Aaron was Alpha, it is expected off him and probably also by him to one day have heirs to his position.

This was a lose, lose situation for me.

I had brought with me a dress, so when Aaron would be here, I would have shifted and fully clothed, I don't like the thought of having this kind of conversation in wolf form and mind linking. Human form is better, and its easier to read his body language, even if I have to talk to him when naked.

Its two days before a full moon, so the moon rock is lit up like it is hit with a projector, I am bathed in light, you could see me from a miles away, if it wasn't for the trees.

I heard a branch c***k, somewhere in between the trees on my left side, then one in front of me, left again and the another one in front of me, now to my to right branches were breaking. I looked around, I don't see anything at first, and I knew it was to early for it to be Aaron. So I started panicking, my heart rate is up, my breathing, superficial, I am looking left and right, until I see serval rouges had surrounded me.

There must have been around twenty of them, they looked different from normal pack wolfs, I know wild rouges look more cruel, but these wolfs look even more hate full and vicious. It was like they had longer canines and their nails was longer and shinier.

This was the end of me, I hadn't learned too fight, only heal. I was way outnumbered and somehow I knew that the wolfs on patrol in the area wasn't coming, they were already dead. All I could hope for, was that maybe someone could hear me, someone being Aaron, my mate, I need to see him one last time.

I took, what I thought would be my last deep breath, curled in to a ball, closed my eyes and mind linked him "help me please"

The rouges had slowly walked closer, growling like they were hyphening each others up, they didn't attack me, just closing in, one closer to me then the rest. I was curled up in a ball on the moon rock, shaking. When it was right in front of me, I slowly open one eye, just to see it so close, it drooled on me.

Before anything could happen a huge dark silver grey wolf, had come out of nowhere, and landed on the drooling rouge snapping its neck in one jerk. The wolf then faced the other rouges that charged in unison, he jumped right into them, there was a lot of growling, barking, biting, scathing and howling.

I was still curved up in a ball on the moon rock in shock, when I saw other wolfs joining the fight, a big brown wolf had come up to me and starting shaking me, he finally shook me out of my shocking state enough for me to be able to see it was the wolf of Beta Luke.

He mind linked me to come with him to safety. I quickly got up, followed him down and into the woods in the direction of the pack village. He made sure that I got home safe to the grounds were the rest of the pack was waiting for my return, before he ran back to join the fight.

I shifted and ran into my mothers arms, crying.

" Angel, you safe?" it was Aarons voice, l stop crying, turned around towards the woods just to see he wasn't there. I mind linked him back. " I am safe"

I had started crying again and I had a hard time breathing. My mother and Lauren followed me to the infirmary, where doctor Sherman gave me some sedatives and some clothes. It made me relaxed a little, but not for long, I started thinking about what had happened at the moon rock, and I went into total panic mode, arms raising up and down, walking back and forth in between desks and beds. I could have died, but saved in the last minute, by Aaron, my mate.

He had been there so quickly, after my cry for help. where was he now?. I was shivering and but I felt my body was burning and I was in pain. Doctor Sherman calmly grabbed both my arms and slowly pushed me back, while he with a soft spoking voice tried to calm me down. He laid me down on a hospital bed and injected me with something, I don't remember hearing before passing out.
