Max's POV:
I am sat at breakfast, caught up in my own thoughts, absentmindedly picking at my food.
"Today", Jack speaks, making me jumps.
"Really?"
"Yes, it's time." I feel a rush of adrenaline through my body and my heart starts racing. It's time! I don't know what that means but I know it means that I will get to see her.
"I've decided to go into work today," I tell Andrew and Mia as I wolf down some food as quick as possible so I can leave and get there as soon as possible.
"Ok," Mia nods but looks wary.
"If you're ready," Andrew claps me on the back.
"Do you want us to come with you?" Mia asks gently.
"No that's ok, thank you", I offer her a smile. "I need to do this. I need to know what's going to happen next".
