Ahpuch listened intently to the conversation and could hardly believe what he was hearing. Part of him felt surprised and shocked that Mazakin of all demons would fall for a human. Part of him felt a little heartbroken that after centuries of longing after her she would choose a weak mortal over him. All of him felt panic about what to do now. His job was to report back to Satan. On one hand, if he told Lucifer, Mazakin would be forced to come home and he could do his best to convince her she belonged with her own kind - with him. But he couldn't hurt and betray her like that.
