Strange Devouring

Four hundred contestants made it through the movement and strength tests and were now heading towards the battle area for their last and final testing. Most of them were still extremely exhausted, their faces were pale and their legs hurt like hell. This was all due to the immense pressure of the large gate and some were even still panting. “All of you have done a fantastic job today and all of you deserve some rest. Each of you shall be given a few hours to rest with plenty of meats and drinks to full your bellies”.

“But remember that you all still have one final testing at hand, prepare will in these hours” Qin Long was in a good mood while he announced that the final testing would be in a couple of hours. Hearing this all so lighten up the moods of some of the weaker contestants, this was because to them if they continued on, sooner or later they would be defeated due to exhaustion. 

After everyone disappeared and reappeared, they shockingly found themselves in an open field that was hundreds of meters wide. The grass was well cut and low, tall trees could be seen everywhere and the atmosphere was filled with thick QI of heaven and earth. Three hundred meters out could be seen as a protective formation that was glowing with a purple hue, it gave off an aura of indestructibility. The open field was parted into sections of four but everyone present was only in the first section and could not cross over to the next due to strong restrictive spells.

"This is the area where your final examination will be held. This field is called the Four Forms field which all of you will soon come to know. For now, each of you here must get some rest and replenish your strengths" after headmaster Qin finished speaking, he lightly stamped on the massive gray compass with his left leg, which suddenly out of the North direction of the compass flew hundreds of energy replenishing pills which fell into the hands of each and every contestant that were present.

The young martial artist caught the pills with shining eyes, it could be seen that this was their first time seeing someone dish out some many expensive pills without even batting on eye led. It was even more so shocking to the commoners as the pill landed in their hands with a warm sensation. "Their so rich" shouted a commoner boy with brightly shining eyes, the smile on his face was even large than the very ocean itself, "I'm definitely going to make it into the martial school this year" a strong passion burned in his heart as he stared up at the headmaster.

Elder Kan Yalan jumped off of the massive compass as she flew towards her nephew with pride in her eyes. With just one look, anyone could tell that she was quite proud of her nephew and the talents that he had shown today, this had really made her feel somewhat happy beyond anything else in the world. “Wong sends me over to that girl, I want to meet my new disciple that's going to kick your disciple's ass haha" elder Jan was currently in an extremely good mood today as he starred at Zin Len with stars in his eyes. "haha, as you wish an old friend. But as for kicking my disciple's ass haha dream on" elder Wong Gi waved his left hand as elder Jan suddenly disappeared without a trace.

"Wong" said the cold face elder lady without even turning her head. "As you wish Yin" replied Wong Gi, he then waved his left hand towards her and she too disappeared without a trace to be seen. The air in front of Zin Len twisted with strong energy undulations, then shockingly on old man could be seen standing before her, she was Almost startled to death but still tried her best to remain calm on the outside. After all, from the moment she had started this examination, she had seen a lot of unexplainable abilities, thus she said nothing but starred at the old man before her.

"What is your name Young lady," asked Jan to Zin Len with a small smile on his face. "Elder, juniors name is Zin Len" she replied while standing up to give a respectful bow. "Haha very good, your talents are very good. From this day onward, I Jan shall be your master while at this school. What do you think about this young lady" Jan laughed like he was talking to his very own granddaughter, Zin Len was once again shocked in her heart but yet again she still tried her best to keep it hidden? But what was the point of elder Jan practicing cultivation if he couldn't see that this young girl was doing all she could to not scream out with overwhelming excitement?

"Y..y..yes I accept" Zin Len's soft lips trembled with excitement as she looks at Jan and bowed once more. "Very good haha, well then, just do your best to make it into the martial school and all will be taken care of" Jan laughed once more and stood next to the beautiful Zin Len while looking out across to where the cold elder had suddenly reappeared too.

"Boy my name is Yin. From this day onward, if you make it into the martial school, I shall be your master" elder Yin appeared in front of Nix with a cold face, not smile or even directly looking at him, this was due to the fact that she didn't want to scare him too much due to the brutality hidden within her eyes. Nix frown for a while and was about to say something, then he saw the look in the old lady's eyes and instantly his mind shook with madness and fear. His body trembled with fear, in his mind he saw a field of blood with the old lady standing in the middle, his body trembled with excitement and instantly he bowed down and offered greetings, "Nix greets Master Yin"

"Good" elder Yin looked at Nix with a cold face but in her eyes, she saw a person who loved to kill. He reminded her of when she was young and hot-headed, "Rest will show me your talent in the combat to come", 

"Yes Master" roaring sounds filled Nix's mind which caused him to instantly sat down and closed his eyes, he then took the pill and started to circulate the energies of the pill around his body. Elder Yin paid no feather attention to him as she raised her hand over his hand, the thick pure Qi of heaven and earth roared as it instantly shot towards Nix at high speed and entered into his body, he trembled all over but didn't open his closed eyes for he knew that this was the work of the old lady.

Similar scenes were also taking place between Jan and Zin Len, Kan Shar, and Kan Yalan, which made headmaster Qin Long smiled in a soft way. "It seems like these old bags of bones are at it again haha" elder Wong Gi showed a wronged smiled but said nothing. 

After a few moments of thought, he was just about to say something when suddenly, the air around him shockingly started to twist in a strange fashion, a shocking pressure pushed down from up above against him, headmaster Qin, and the two other remaining elders. He was flabbergasted as he turned to look at Jia Lin who had a black hue around him that was endlessly devouring the pure Qi in the atmosphere, headmaster Qin and the other two elders were also equally shocked as well.

"Isn't he finish recovering yet. How is the devouring some much pure Qi, where is it all going"

"This boy, I have a bad feeling about him"

The two elders backed up a little from Jia Lin as a means to not get caught in the devouring field that was around his body. It wasn’t that they were afraid of him or it, it was just that they didn't want to be a force to take sudden action if that black hue was to suddenly start to devour even the Qi inside their own bodies. Headmaster Qin Long frowned as the compass started to float up higher into the sky, the gray hue around the compass was also slowly being absorbed by Jia Lin unknowingly which caused a weird look to be born on the headmasters face.

"Such a strange kid," he thought while the gray compass picks out on its speed, going higher and higher into the sky. "Elder Wong, take him into your Air Space Formation Domain. Don't let him out until he finishes recovering, I don't want him to create any problems for the others" headmaster Qin wore a serious expression while looking at Jia Lin as if he was a hidden monster waiting to jump out at any time. "Yes headmaster", elder Wong Gi waved his hand and the air around Jia Lin suddenly started to twist, within seconds he was gone and within mere moments reappeared within elder Wong's Air Space Formation Domain.
