In order to end Alex’s questioning, Jill reminded her they needed to deal with the problem at hand. Jill needed to come up with a plausible explanation for where she had been when she returned home. “Don’t you think it would be better to talk about what we can do so you don’t have to return home?” Alex said in a measured voice.
