GINGER Curiosity getting the better of me (and, okay, desperation for a ride), I agreed to meet Tyce after the service, telling my parents I'd meet them at home. I waited until my family left and most of the congregation dispersed as well, many sticking around later than usual to buy some baked goods. Once I made my way outside, I spotted Tyce sitting down on a bench. He stood as I approached. "Hey, I made it." I gave Tyce a small, closed-mouth smile. "Thanks for making it."
