CHAPTER SIX “Sir,” I mouthed feeling my heart beat irrevocably fast. “You know the last thing I expected was seeing my PA who I suspended, in the elevator-“ “It’s not what it looks like,” I hurried on in a small voice. “It’s exactly what it looks like,” the stranger spoke. I whirled my head sharply to look at him. What the hell is wrong with him? Did he want to get fired? Antagonizing Devon was enough reason to make him fire you. Changing my focus to my boss I found him raging, his jaws grinding and his face a deep shade of red. “Am really sorry sir. I started it so please don’t fire him and please do excuse him for his language. Am sure he didn’t mean it,” I apologized hoping Devon would let the stranger off the hook. Devon’s expression morphed into one of confusion but it was gone
