“Tell me again what you heard.”
Marcus stood across from my desk, holding the report he had brought from the northern border. He had repeated the same information twice already, but I wanted to hear it again.
“The woman who was believed to have died in the wasteland has been seen alive in the demon realm.”
I stared at him for several seconds before taking the report from his hand. “That is impossible.”
“That is what I thought too, but three different wolves have reported seeing her.”
