The Leopard's Alpha Mate

-Between a Rock and a Hard Place-

-Sapphire's POV-

Hearing my father's elite warriors are outside made me lose my appetite very fast. Looking up at Damian I can see the anger and worry in his eyes.

'They are not taking me away from you Damian I promise you that,' I mind linked him.

Since we marked each other we can mind link now, but the look on his face says it all; I am Damian's mate and not even my father can take me away from him even if he drags me away.

'There will be a problem if they even try,' he growls.

We both stand up as we head for the front door. I grab Damians arm and hug it. Feeling him calm a little I smile up at him. Walking outside hand in hand I see our top elite warrier Elliott brushing his blonde hair back and bearing a scowl on his face.

"Unhand the Chief's daughter you filthy mutt!" He hisses as he storms up to Damian.

I get in front of Damian and hiss loudly at Elliott who looks at me in surprise.

"You will show some respect for my mate or else!" I shout at him.

"Mate!? What are you... this can't be. My lady, you are engaged to be with Roland to make our tribe stronger!" Elliott panics.

"I will never marry Roland!!" I scream with tears forming in my eyes. "Father always thought I was lying when I told him Roland hurt me, but that was never a lie! And the reason I ran away is because he was drunk that night. I ran away because he wanted to force himself on me so I did the only thing I thought of." Enormous tears were flowing down my face making my eyes red.

I suddenly felt Damian wrap his arms around me. He was shaking too, but it was out of rage yet his touch was still so gentle like he thought he might break me if he squeezed to hard.

Elliott looked at us in confustion, "but you still need to come back with us my lady. If not your father will come here himself with an army."

I look up at Damian, "looks like that trip there got moved up in schedule huh?" I question.

"Looks like it, kitten. Alright we will get ready then. Give us an hour," Damian replies.

"Wait you're bringing him with you?" Elliott whimpers.

"Yes I am and you can't say he's not allowed because we have marked each other so there's nothing you or my father can do about it," I hiss at him crossing my arms. His jaw drops as he stares at me and Damian.

"Yes... my lady I will send word to your father about your... mate," he hesitates then walks away.

"I'll get a bag ready for us kitten," Damian hugs me from behind making me and Scarlet pur.

"Ok wolfy," I giggle.

"Wolfy?" He chuckles hugging me tighter.

I giggle then grab his hand leading him back inside to grab some things for our trip.

1 hour later and we head downstairs from the 5th floor. Walking out the front door I gasp as I see a sleek black car in the drive way. Damian picks up my bag that I have brought down stairs and loads it along with his into the trunk.

"I didn't know you had a car," I beam.

"Well its faster then on foot wouldn't you say kitten?" He grins.

I glare at him, "I didn't have much of a choice you know."

"Heh I know kitten," he chuckles.

I puff my cheeks up making a sour face glaring at him. He chuckles at me more and closes the trunk of the car. He walks over to me as Theo and 3 other elite warriors, including his brother, follow behind

him.

"Alpha we are ready when you are," Theo announces bowing to us as the elite warriors turn into their wolf form.

None of the wolves here are as big as Noir but he is an alpha so there's that factor. Turning back to Damian, I see he's opened the passenger door for me and I can't help but smile a little. No matter what my father says or does I will always be Damian's, for he is the only one who will actually love me and not hurt me like Roland. Walking over to him I pull him down by his shirt to my eye level and kiss him deeply. He's shocked at first but quickly kisses me back. Elliott is standing there by his gray car looking at Damian and I in disgust then walks over to us.

"I've informed the Chief of the situation here and he is permitting Damian to enter our territory," he sneers at Damian.

Damian starts to growl but I grab his hand.

"He's not worth it Damian," I growl glaring at Elliott who cowers back to his car getting into it.

"You really are amazing kitten," Damian purs kissing my head and closing the passenger door for me.

He walks over to the driver's side and gets in. As we start driving I see Theo and the others running in the woods beside the car as we go. They keep pace with us even for the entire ride which was between 5 and 6 hours. We reach the border to Alaska but we stop at a small fancy inn for supernatural creatures to stay for the night then go by foot in the morning.

-Joshua's POV-

'Looks like they are heading back to the Star Tribe,' I think to myself writing down notes in my book for that son of a b***h Roland.

'This is the last job I'm doing for that d**k head, then im gonna transfer over to the Star Tribe. At least they are nice to everyone even if you're an omega.' I snarl.

Turning into my snow leopard Alex we begin running off towards the Thorn Tribe.

'I already know how this is gonna go down and it is gonna end with blood. I know for a fact Roland won't let Damian have Sapphire that easily. Knowing him he's gonna blame Damian for what happened to Drake but what Roland doesn't know was I was the one who helped him out. I had to... to repay for what I did to their mother and Drake.... I won't let Roland hurt them anymore!' I growl thinking to myself.

'I agree for once Josh; that little prick has done nothing but use us,' Alex hisses.

'It will take us two days to get there, but I'm not going all the way so we will stop at a small town and call him then head to the Star Tribe to start our transfer,' I think to myself.

Before going into town I turn back and get dressed into the clothes I had on hand in case I needed them. Walking into town I can feel everyone's eyes on me and I can't blame them. Some strange man shows up with no car in the dead of winter. Who wouldn't stare? Looking around I can't seem to find a pay phone anywhere in this town, but then again they have been going out of style and I never bothered to get one myself. I start asking people who are out and about and everyone has told me no like they were scared I was gonna steal it. I finally had enough of it and sat down at a little café to try and think of a way to reach Roland without actually going there.

"Excuse me," I jump as I hear a soft voice over my shoulder.

Looking behind me I see a young lady with a worried look on her face, and for some reason I find it rather cute. Her big brown eyes looked at me then down at something in her hand. I hate to admit this but I think this human is my second chance mate she looks to be in her late 30s maybe early 40s.

"You've been asking to use a phone from everyone yes?" She asks.

"Oh yes I do need to borrow one," I smile akwardly.

She blushes handing me her phone and brushing her long wavy brown hair out of her face.

"Thank you so much," I smile at her. Taking the phone gently from her hand, I feel the sparks as I touch her hand. Sparks I never thought I'd feel again, I'm guessing she can feel them too because she pulls her hand away quickly.

"Static," she giggles.

"Yeah," I respond.

I look down at the phone and am completely confused. 'What the hell? Is this one of those smart phones Roland always has his face glued to when he's not being serious?' I think to myself.

"Do you need help?" The lady asks me.

I nod with blush on my face, "I've never had this kind of phone so I'm lost on how to operate it. I'm Joshua Gray by the way, whats your name," I smile at her.

"I'm Olivia Darling" she smiles back at me.

She takes the phone and turns it on some how then

using her finger on... the screen? She then turns it to me showing me a key pad.

"Type the number in," she tells me and I touch the numbers on the screen.

"Ok the number is in," I explain.

"Then press the green button and hold it to ur ear like this," she responds showing me how to hold it to my ear.

I press the green button and like she showed me put it up to my ear, I hear a noise witch means its connecting... I think?

"Hello?" I hear an annoyed voice say.

"Its me sir; Josh, with the report," I explain.

"Josh? Are you using a smart phone?" He asks.

"Yes sir, had to borrow one cause there is no pay phone around this small town," I reply.

"Well tell me who is her mate and what's going on. I just got a notice from Leon that Sapphire is heading back home and to get there as soon as possible!" He yells at me.

"Yes sir she is heading home but with..." I look over at the beautiful lady beside me, "with her husband."

I can hear a low growl on the other end with some cracking noises.

"And who is her 'husband'?" Roland hisses.

"...Damian Sir," I respond.

"WHAT!?!?!" Is all i hear before he hangs up or he just broke his phone... again.
