Here is chapter 2:
The morning sun shone brightly as Saanvi rushed through the bustling corridors of St. Xavier’s College, her bag swinging behind her. Today felt like just another usual day, but little did she know, her heart had begun weaving silent confessions she couldn’t say aloud.
“Late again, Malhotra?” Reyansh smirked as he leaned casually against the classroom door. His charming arrogance was something that both annoyed and amused Saanvi.
“Not late. Just… fashionably on time,” she shot back, rolling her eyes.
Rohan and Ishaan chuckled from behind. “You two seriously fight like an old married couple.”
Saanvi’s heart did an involuntary flip, but she quickly masked it with an exaggerated groan. “Ugh, stop. I already suffer enough.”
The group entered the class, settling into their usual seats. Kabir was busy scrolling through his phone while Aisha waved at Saanvi from across the hall. The professor walked in, and as the lecture started,Saanvi found her thoughts drifting. What if Reyansh ever saw her the way she saw him?
The real fun always began at the college cafeteria. The gang gathered at their favorite corner, discussing everything from assignments to weekend plans.
“I swear, if we have another surprise quiz, I’ll drop out,” Ishaan groaned, slamming his book shut.
“Don’t be dramatic. You say this every time,” Rohan retorted.
Reyansh was busy scrolling through his phone when suddenly, a chit landed in front of him. “Dude, what’s this?” he asked, confused.
Saanvi’s breath hitched. It wasn’t hers, of course, but the sight of an anonymous note in front of Reyansh made her heart race. What if he ever found out?
“Open it,” Kabir encouraged.
Reyansh unfolded the note and read it aloud: “Not all confessions need a voice; some are written between the lines.”
A teasing silence followed.
“Oh, ho! Lover boy has a secret admirer?” Aisha teased, nudging Saanvi unknowingly.Saanvi laughed along with the rest, masking her unease.
He doesn’t know. He can’t know.
Reyansh simply smirked and stuffed the note into his pocket. “Guess I have a fan. Can’t blame them.”
Saanvi rolled her eyes playfully, but deep down, she wished she could be the one leaving those notes.
Later that evening, after classes, Saanvi and Reyansh walked side by side towards the campus gates. This was their routine—just the two of them, away from the noise.
“You seemed lost today,” Reyansh commented, shoving his hands in his pockets.
Saanvi forced a laugh. “Just tired.”
He nodded but didn’t press further. That was Reyansh—always observant, yet never pushing too much.As they parted ways, Saanvi sighed, looking at her diary tucked in her bag. Maybe tonight, another letter needed to be written.
