It was one of those rare days when classes felt secondary—because the annual Cultural Fest was just around the corner. Reyansh, as always, took things lightly. "So, who's up for skipping practice and going for a drive instead?" he asked, tossing his car keys in the air. "Not happening," Saanvi retorted, grabbing his wrist to stop him. "We already volunteered, and you're in the debate team, remember?" He sighed dramatically. "Why do I always let you talk me into these things?" "Because you love me," she replied teasingly before realizing what she had just said. A beat of silence. Then Reyansh smirked, "Of course, I do. Who else would keep me sane?" Saanvi laughed along, but her heart raced. If only you knew. The auditorium was alive with chaos—dancers practicing, musicians tuning their instruments, and the debate teams engaged in passionate arguments.Reyansh, despite his reluctance, had a natural charisma that made him stand out. "You're a natural," Aisha commented as she and Saanvi watched from a distance. "Yeah…" Saanvi murmured, but her attention was fixed on something else—a new note on Reyansh’s table. Her breath caught. He picked it up, a curious smile playing on his lips. "Another one? Interesting." Kabir and Rohan instantly gathered around. "Read it out loud." Reyansh unfolded it slowly, his eyes scanning the words. "Some connections are meant to be felt, not explained. Ever felt like someone understands you without speaking?" The group erupted in teasing, but Reyansh only smiled thoughtfully. "Maybe my secret admirer knows me better than I thought." Saanvi quickly looked away, pretending to be absorbed in her notebook. He can never know. Not yet. That night, Saanvi’s phone buzzed. Reyansh. She picked up, trying to steady her voice. "Kya hua, mister secret admirer?" He chuckled. "Nothing. Just… can’t sleep. These letters, they’re kinda messing with my head." Saanvi held her breath. "How so?" "It’s weird. Like… I feel like I should know who she is, but I don’t. And it’s driving me insane." She swallowed hard. "Maybe some things are better left unknown." "Maybe," he mused. "But I don’t think I’ll stop until I figure it out." Saanvi’s grip tightened on her diary.
