Here is Chapter 6: Wedding Whispers and Hidden Letters
The wedding celebrations at the Malhotra household were in full swing. The air was filled with the scent of fresh marigolds and sandalwood, as family members bustled around in bright traditional outfits. Saanvi’s cousin brother, Aarush Malhotra, was getting married, and the house was buzzing with excitement.
Saanvi adjusted her lehenga, fixing her dupatta carefully before stepping into the beautifully decorated garden. The moment she looked up, she saw him—Reyansh.
He stood near the entrance in a sherwani, looking around with mild amusement. Their families were close, so it wasn’t a surprise that he was invited, but seeing him there made Saanvi’s heart skip a beat.
“Tu yahan kya kar raha hai?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Reyansh smirked. “Shaadi mein aaya hoon, yaad hai, hum family friends hain?”
Before Saanvi could reply, Tanya came running and hugged her. “Didi, tum kitni sundar lag rahi ho!”Saanvi smiled and hugged her back. Little did she know, the night was about to get more interesting.
As the wedding rituals began, Saanvi was helping around when a small chit fell from her purse. She froze.
It was the letter she had written but never meant to send. Had she accidentally dropped it? Or had someone found out her secret?
She quickly bent down and picked it up, her heart racing. When she turned, Reyansh was watching her.
“Sab theek?” he asked curiously.
Saanvi nodded quickly, stuffing the letter back into her purse. Did he see it? She couldn’t tell, but there was a knowing look in his eyes.
As the sangeet night started, the host announced, “Aur ab aaj ki shaam ke liye ek special dance performance hone wala hai—ladkiyon aur ladkon ke beech competition!”Before Saanvi could refuse, Aisha and Tanya dragged her to the dance floor. To her horror, Reyansh was on the opposite team.
The music played, and as they danced, their eyes met—challenging, teasing, and yet filled with something else.
Between the beats of the dhol and the claps of the audience, a secret lingered in the air. A secret that was waiting to be revealed.
