Here is Chapter 8: The Letter in His Hands
Reyansh held the letter between his fingers, his eyes scanning the paper. Saanvi’s heart pounded. If he read it, her secret would be out.
She quickly snatched it from his hand, forcing a laugh. “Kuch nahi, bas ek random note tha.” She folded it and tucked it into her purse, hoping he wouldn’t push further.
Reyansh raised an eyebrow. “Sach mein? Tumhari shakal toh kuch aur hi keh rahi hai, Saanvi.”
Before she could respond, Vivan called her from inside. “Saanvi, jaldi aa, bhai ka varmaala hone wala hai!”
She exhaled in relief. Bach gayi. Giving Reyansh a quick nod, she rushed inside, leaving him standing there, still staring at the spot where she had been. Something was definitely off.
Later that night, as the wedding rituals continued, Reyansh couldn’t shake off the strange feeling. Who was she writing to? And why was she acting so nervous?
He sat with Rohan and Ishaan at the side, watching the rituals.“Kya soch raha hai?” Rohan nudged him.
Reyansh shook his head. “Bas aise hi… ek ajeeb si cheez dekhi aaj.”
Ishaan smirked. “Shaadiyon mein toh aise bohot kuch hota hai.”
Reyansh rolled his eyes but stayed silent. His best friend was hiding something, and he intended to find out what.
Meanwhile, Aisha caught Saanvi pacing near the balcony, whispering to herself. “Mujhe zyada careful rehna padega.”
Aisha smirked. “Kis cheez ka dhyaan rakhna hai, madam?”
Saanvi jumped, clutching her purse. “Kuch nahi, bas shaadi ki tension.”
Aisha folded her arms. “Mujhse jhooth matt bol, Saanvi. Tu kis letter ki baat kar rahi thi?”
Saanvi gulped. Did Aisha know?
Before she could say anything, the music grew louder, signaling the start of the dance performances. Saanvi quickly used the distraction to slip away.
But she knew one thing for sure—her secret was slipping out of her hands, and Reyansh was getting closer to the truth.
