Here is Chapter 9 : The Mystery Deepens
The wedding festivities continued, but Reyansh’s mind was elsewhere. The letter he had found in Saanvi’s possession was still bothering him. He hadn’t read it—he wouldn’t invade her privacy like that. But something about the way she had snatched it away, the fear in her eyes, made him wonder—was she hiding something?
Reyansh wasn’t the kind of person who dug into others’ personal matters, but this… this was different. Ever since he had started receiving those anonymous letters, a strange pull had taken root in his heart. He didn’t believe in love, but the words written in those letters made him feel something unexplainable.
Could it be connected to Saanvi? Or was it just a coincidence?
He glanced at her across the hall, where she was laughing with Aisha and Tanya. She looked normal. Carefree. But then again, hadn’t she always been good at hiding things?
Later that evening, as the family gathered for a post-wedding Rohan nudged Reyansh. “Kya chal raha hai tere dimaag mein? Tu kaafi lost lag raha hai aajkal.”
Reyansh smirked slightly. “Bas soch raha hoon… kuch cheezein samajhne mein waqt lagta hai na?”
Rohan raised a brow. “Yeh toh philosophy ho gayi. Koi specific cheez hai jo samajh nahi aa rahi?”
Reyansh hesitated before saying, “Kabhi kabhi lagta hai jaise koi mujhe kuch kehna chahta hai, par khud saamne nahi aata. Bas lafzon ke peeche chhupa rehta hai.”
Rohan frowned. “Matlab?”
Reyansh shrugged. “Abhi samajh raha hoon.”
At that moment, his eyes flickered toward Saanvi, who was adjusting her bracelet absentmindedly. The same bracelet he had seen in the college library when he had picked up one of those anonymous letters. His heart skipped a beat.
Could it really be her?
