ARIA’S POV
I hid behind the pillars for the guards to throw her in, lock her and return, before I walked over to the iron bars. “Nicolle?” I whispered. She ran to the iron bars as soon as she heard my voice.
“Luna. I didn’t do it. I need you to believe me, Luna. I didn’t. I would never do anything like this. You have to believe me.” She cried bitterly. Tears welled in my eyes.
“When you brought the meal, you were quite upset. You didn’t even say hi to me,” I said,
“I haven’t been around because I went to the neighboring village to see my mother. She was ill and she passed.” She said, “The Alpha had given me a few days off, but I couldn’t stay in the village. She was all I had, staying there in her absence felt like hell, so I came back,” I listened to her, feeling sorry for her.
