The silence was extremely weighty. “You didn't know,” he said in a soft tone of realization.
“I was pregnant, but I lost the baby. If that's what you're asking.” I defended myself. It terrified me and sounded impossible that the Wookiees had the power to know the past, but so far, the possibilities were endless and I had to keep that in mind.
Darren looked confused. “There is no baby,” I sounded very certain.
“I don't know what you're talking about, but I do know you are carrying a child…” he said and then followed with a sigh, “just like she was,” the weight in his tone was undeniable.
