Chapter 5Jade flinched when she heard the sound of breaking glass and cracked her eyes open to thin slits. Expecting to see the cage she’d been locked in for the last month, she was confused for a moment finding herself on a small cot of some kind. She’d been drugged again… that much she knew. She still remembered the sting of the tranquilizer dart she had been shot with.
