Chapter 12 – SpiraneyThe sun was bright and warm as they walked past the sleeping trees. Droplets of water fell from the broken canopy above. It felt like cold rain whenever they would walk beneath them. The trees had formed icicles from their frozen branches. The snow crunched loudly beneath their steps. It was soft but it stuck to their boots, perfect for play in the snow.
She smiled as she felt the warmth of the sun soak through to her skin. She hadn't realized how cold his world was until that morning. They had been travelling for a few days and each day brought warmer weather. She wondered if it was the first sign of spring. If spring never came and if it was always cold, was a day as hot as that a sign of the evil leaving? She hoped Rosena still held on to enjoy it.
