Chapter 13 – Village SicknessTheir journey back to the village felt like a short one. Darrow talked nearly the entire way, except to take a break to sleep. He wanted to share everything that he had learned through the journey in the mountain. She was more than happy to listen. The change was welcoming; it meant he was whole again. It was extremely odd though as the man didn't talk that much normally.
He explained how the magic worked. How basic elements took less energy and a lesser soul compared to the dark, unnatural magic.
