Go away…come back Lyn awoke to an empty bed. Two kids sat glued to a black and white TV. Fark! Fark! Screams a crow outside in the quarter acre yard. A lawnmower starts up. Someone adds fuel to their incinerator. John is gone but the world keeps on turning. She’s not really surprised. It’s not the first time. The ceiling shows signs of mould despite the open window that lets in the air and spiders. A glass stopper all that remains of a perfume bottle after the last fight sits on the sill creating fractured rainbows of light. A chest of drawers ransacked shows its contents to spirits above. The emergency funds are gone. No note. Jimmmmy….Becccc. I’d love a cup of teaaaa The kettle boils. The old tea leaves thrown unceremoniously onto the window box. A slug gets an instant
