“I have come to report for my posting Sir”, Mia said to the senior resident of ENT & ophthalmic ward who was staring at her cluelessly.
“You didn’t get the message? Your posting has been changed to gynae and obs” he said still staring at her.
“But I had requested my gynae posting to be last. And my application was accepted. I even received a confirmation. There has to be a mistake!”
“Nope, no mistake here. Gynae and Obs needs more hands and we are over staffed. So we are taking resident Docs only from our field. Even the next session, you would only be an observer for our department. Someone has placed a specific request for you.
