Chapter 5 Ninja ghost 2/2

After seeing the toy coming to life, this girl’s eyes got bigger, she was definitely surprised by the occurrence before her. With trembling legs, she approached Donovan and tugged at his clothes. 

“M-mister… Can you teach me?”

“Uh!” Donovan felt as if time had stopped, he had finally made use of [Toy servant crafting] and the only thing he had to do was name it. Donovan sent those thoughts to the back of his head for the time being and answered “I’ll teach you, in exchange for Squishy”.

Without a bit of doubt and a firm resolution, she said that word, It seems she wanted to get rid of the toy even if he hadn’t asked, but after spending some time with her Donovan felt she would make a great fit for his abilities. Even more than him himself. 

Donovan proceeded to use [Emperor's gift] and passed her down all the abilities he had, but for some reason, he couldn’t pass [Sad Doll] and [Protector].

Donovan didn’t have time to be surprised, after granting her the power, she immediately used [Toy servant crafting] on the toy that looked like a scarecrow. 

And as if being destiny, the 0.000001 chances of granting true-life seemed to take effect. Blinding light came out of the toy while at the same time growing in size. At the end of its transformation, it grew to around a meter and eighty-five centimeters. 

“Titos!” With crying eyes, Charikleia rapidly ran to the creature and hugged it. Titos was a hay toy wearing a top head, it supported all its weight on a stick protruding from below. The creature gave a creepy vibe by its looks alone. Anyhow, this toy had something different from the true-life the skill gave, but Donovan couldn’t be sure what the difference was.

“Emperor! We had some trouble, the portal couldn't be stabilized in the predetermined time. Just give us three more days to send your daughter!” Rows of scientists prostrated themselves before a man. A stern face showed his disappointment towards the scientist.

“We’re already late, I hope the timeline won’t be changed as easily. However…” As he said the last word an energy blast was sent out his fist exploding the head of the scientist leader. The others weren’t surprised, it has happened many times before. Someone else would simply take up the dead’s position. 

“You’re in charge now, make sure you don’t fail this time” The cold emperor selected the first person he saw and appointed him to keep on the job. Then he calmly stood up and walk away, leaving a heavy environment in the room.

After the encounter with Donovan, Charikleia was running while tightly hugging her toys. The kids from where she lived were chasing after her.

"Stop now if you don't want your punishment to get worse!" Weaving a stick one of the kids shouted. Fortunately for him, Charikleia had run into a dead-end.

"Because you didn't collect my part I got a beating" raising his voice while slowly walking towards her, he lifted the stick "Now it's your turn".

The little girl received the relentless hits by this gang of children while protecting her toys. “Titos, I-I need your help, help m-me, help me…” said the poor Charikleia under her breath. right after, a toy that looked like a small scarecrow with a tuxedo started shining. 

Bewildered, the bullies fell on their butts at that strange sight. 

When it stopped shining, it was as tall as an average adult human. 

The scarecrow rotated its body on his own axis while jumping, but all of a sudden it stopped. 

An intimidating aura was being emitted by the creature. The children felt this aura, and an intense sense of fear emerged within them. Their legs started shaking and sweat run down their foreheads. 

The scarecrow wasn’t moving at all, it was just standing there looking. But for these children, it was as if the devil himself was standing in front of them.

Seconds later its straw mouth twitched a little “Buh!” 

They screamed their hearts out and run away shouting nonsense. 

"Sister, you won't have to bear these bullies abuse anymore, your big brother won't leave your side ever again!" The straw man said creepily to the little girl in front of him. However, this creepiness seemed to be nonexistent for her, instead, a look of longing, love and admiration could be seen all over her face. "Let's leave this place with the help of that lonely man. I don't like him but for now, let's trust him" 

After saying that, Titos shrunk back to his original size. Since those kids saw her being protected by a 'demon', they would most likely tell the managers of the crops. So she will have to hide for the next three days until the scape date. They planned to do the job they were given until the last day, but for her, this had to change.

Donovan had lent her [Ninja ghost] until the day of the scape, that way she could meet him without any hindrance. Although the invisibility of [Ninja ghost] could be used in its cape shape, it didn't make the wearer completely invisible, just enough not to be seen at night. 

The reason Donovan lent his toy was because of [Spiritual boundary trespassing], with it and invisibility Ninja could scout the surrounding for potential enemies. That way, it would be difficult to find the petit seven-year-old girl and easy to escape in case of something happening. 

After that touching moment, hurried footsteps thundered in the near alley but Charikleia looked to be spacing out. The neck of the cape she was wearing contorted and stretched to her ear in a swift motion "Miss Suzette... we must leave!". however, the soothing voice of Ninja didn't make her come to her senses.

Immediately after Ninja possessed the little girl, she made her run as fast as an Olympic athlete.
