Chapter 11 Gullible believe

A blinding white light appeared in the middle of a forest. It lasted for around two seconds until a bunch of people came out of it. They were wearing black and red robes that martial artists wore in ancient times. After everyone was out, the light disappeared, and then similar people surrounded them. They wore the exact same clothes. "king Amal! You are finally here!" Seeing his superior was a relief. All this while they've had problems dealing with some of the monsters in the area. They had sacrificed all their power just to come here. They were basically normal human beings. "Have you trained using our emperor's method?" Amal asked. "We were attacked the moment we came here, so we couldn't train properly. However, after killing some beast, we've retrieved some blood." It was indeed difficult for them. It was actually difficult to survive in the wilderness without a high enough level of skill. And what's worst for them was the lack of blood for training. Space-time, the universe, or whatever wasn't kind enough to let them take cheat items to the past. At least regular clothing was accepted. "Right, we'll need to locate the toy emperor before he finds out about his true potential, and then kill him." Amal had a stoic face while saying that, although he was probably the most nervous of them all. *** "We could have eaten the snake's flesh, you know?" Titos complained. "You don't know that. it might be poisonous." after a long pause, Yama spoke again. "I want to save him." "Save him? But he has everything there, food and a place to sleep... maybe." For some reason, he didn't like him at all. "We should worry about mother. She needs spiritual energy if we don't want her soul to disperse." She knew reviving her with little spiritual energy would come consequences. The power of the toymaker somehow made up for the recipient of the soul by giving a new body to the soul. And it might even become a real body of flesh and bones if lucky. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. After her revival, her form was incomplete. she couldn't speak and needed to continue devouring souls for her soul not to be erased of existence. At least that snakes nurture her soul to a considerable extent. "We just need to give her enough lives for her soul to stabilize. Now, how do we save him?" After killing the king of the area, they went in front of the lake the snake lived in. It was a very well-protected place. The trees form a natural barrier, and because a powerful monster dominated the area, no other creature would approach them. "I don't know if we can save him... you will have to get strong enough to conquer the camp, then e*****e everyone and consume their souls slowly. By then, he will be dead, but you will avenge him." Yama was actually considering the idea. She knew getting stronger was a must, but to save others, she had to be overpowered. The problem was, her starting point was different from others. While most people would start with corporeality unlocked, she began with mind, spirit, strength, dexterity, speed but not stamina. That meant her source of energy was affected by her profession.  She couldn't help but sight.  *** "That's another creature w
