Once again Emily awoke with the sound of sweet singing in her ears.
She stretched out her little arms and yawned, ensuring that she did not hit Stella who was fast asleep beside her.
Sliding out from under the covers, Emily crept over to the window and glanced out. As she expected, she saw her mother waiting for her in the middle of the lawn. She waved down to her and was about to make her way back outside as she had done the previous night, when her mother spoke to her telepathically, giving her an alternative suggestion.
Emily enthusiastically nodded her understanding, and slipped out of the bedroom, closing the door silently behind her.
