I stood in the middle of the room, my mind spinning, unsure where to start. Even though Mimi had clearly described Karrien and Alian's license plate, the information only left me more confused than reassured. I was now certain that Alian was involved, but the biggest question remained: why had he done this? And more importantly, where was Dennis? I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare with no way out.
I looked up at Jackie, hoping for some guidance. He was the only person who could help me right now. His eyes still radiated calm, but I could see the worry beneath the surface. He looked at me without speaking, but his gaze conveyed a message: "I'm here, and we'll face this together."
