Throughout the conversation between Jackie and Karrien, I tried my best to remain still, avoiding any signs of nervousness. But internally, my worries were growing louder. Alian wasn't here—what did that mean? Was Dennis truly being held in this building, or was he somewhere else, somewhere I wouldn't reach in time?
