Marcel set the pen down on his desk as Kai announced that Skylar wanted to see him. He briefly wondered if she was here to discuss Jenna again. Regardless, he couldn’t just dismiss her, so he nodded. “Send her in.” Kai hesitated. “Boss, Skylar likes you. I hope you’re aware of that.” “I know,” Marcel replied, his voice steady. “You really don’t have to entertain her, especially with everything going on,” Kai advised gently.
