Kai sighed in frustration as he parked his car in the office building's lot. Glancing at his watch, he shook his head, his mood souring even more. "Why do I always end up dealing with ungrateful people?" he muttered under his breath.
Stepping out of the car, his phone buzzed, and he answered quickly. "Yes?" he said, pressing the phone to his ear. After a brief pause, he continued, "I'm already here. Just wait for me; I'll be right up." Kai hung up, slipping the phone into his pocket as he made his way toward the elevator.
"Man! Where have you been?" Marcel demanded as soon as Kai stepped into the office. "I have been trying to reach you since last night, but you were nowhere to be found!" His voice was laced with concern.
