Always Late

I woke up late again. I had this stupid habbit, but this was my first day at work; And it was very important.

So I quickly showered, after 5 minutes I finished taking a shower( This is my super power hahaha). I picked out a tight black pencil skirt and a peach blouse, and I tied my hair up, ( you know what they say," Nothing looks more powerful than a woman with her hair tied up") , I wasn't a big fan of make up but I tried to put on some. I looked at myself in the mirror and said to myself," Damn April, you are on fire! haha."

I put on some black heels, okay they weren't really heels cause they were only 3 inches; I couldn't walk in heels.

Anyway, so I was ready for work. I got into my car and drove away.

So I reached my work place. It was a very big tracking company and I was going to start there as an accountant, I am related to the owner so obviously I got the job from him. Call it nepotism or whatever but all I know is that I'm highly qualified, I really did work hard for this. And he didn't pay for my school just so I can work for someone else.

So I got out of my car and entered the building, I was gonna go straight into my uncle's office until this id**t stopped me, his st***d secretary. Ugh! She was so annoying. I tried to enter but she kept insisting that I couldn't see him without an appointment.

"Does this dumb b*tch know who she's talking to?" I said to myself.

But I tried to remain calm as I didn't want to cause a scene.

So I said to her, " Please tell him Miss Jones is here."

She talked to him and then told me to go in.

" B*tch next time I will smack you" I said to myself again. She was so annoyin ugh!

I went into my uncle's office and told him what happened. He corrected her of course.

So he led me out to show me my office.

" OMG its perfect" I said.

He left and told me he'll introduce me to the staff later, he had an urgent meeting.

But oh my goodness I couldn't believe my dreams were finally coming true. I had worked at CyberMove a couple of years ago right after high school but this was a whole bigger role... With big responsibilities.

So I sat there looking at my wonderful new office. It was quite big with an amazing view of the city of Toullend. I loved it!

A few minutes later I heard a knock.

" Come in." I said as I was looking through some files.

"Miss Jones, good morning." He greeted.

"Good morning" I greeted back.

" My name is Walter Moore, I am head of the Accounting department, Mr Jones asked me to introduce you to the staff since he'll be busy with the meeting.." he said.

I didn't really hear what he was saying because I was distracted by how fine he was, he was tall, dark smooth skin, brown eyes and perfect lips. He was clean and he smelled just like fresh water. And I just stood there in awe... like a lifeless doll.

"... Please follow me." he continued.

" Oh sure... And please call me April." I said with a smile on my face.

With a smirk on his face he said," Sure."

We walked to the conference room where everyone was gathered, we did the greetings and he introduced me to everyone. And I went back to my office.

It was the end of the day and I was so exhausted,

So I drove out and went home.

I was so exhausted that I literally fell asleep the moment I arrived.

" Hey! Hey! " Was what woke me up. Ugh! It was my best friend Jessy; we lived together.

" I'm hungry!." she shouted.

"Are you stupid? Can't you just come in here without disturbing me? You're so annoying!" I yelled back at her.

I was now up because of that silly girl.

Jessy and I met in college and we've been best friends ever since. We stayed apart when I was in grad school in the UK but that didn't break our friendship.

" How was your first day at work?" She asked.

"Exhausting... But my office is pretty cool." I answered.

"And your co-workers?" She asked again.

I replied with a smirk on my face," They're alright."

And of course the only Co-worker I remembered was Walter.

" Shall we just go out to eat?" I asked.

"Yay!" Jessy yelled.

She is so childish.
