A moment of significant encounter - Pt1

2987 Words
For what seemed like the thousandth time in the past hour or so, Logan cursed himself silently. There was no valid reason for anyone sane, or otherwise to be in such a dreadful situation. He was sure that by the time he got home, he would be a popsicle and it would be morning. And to make matters worse, his car radiator was broken, and he was running out of gas. The weather couldn't have been more dreadful even if it tried. Rain pelted down as though all the angels in heaven were in tears. The wind wasn’t a wind but a biting gale that was as ferocious as it was cold. Logan couldn't see his hands in front of his face let alone the road through his windshield. And why would one decide to drive in such a dangerous storm. Well that was easy – it was the end of the school day and there was no way in hell that he would be sleeping at school. Besides he had a cat that needed feeding. He drove as slowly as one could. Occasionally a driver that was either as reckless as himself or has a death wish would drive by, speeding down the slippery road their horns blaring, but he didn't dare look. He kept his eyes peeled on the road, not even looking away to turn on the radiator as wet clothes clung to him and his teeth clattered together. It was strange though. The storm came out of nowhere.  It was practically summer, the sun had been roasting him through the windows in his last period creative writing class not five minutes before the clouds came out, opened its bowels and started to drown their small town. Logan’s car suddenly jolted as if he had hit something quite large, snapping him out of his thoughts. He wasn’t sure what happened, but he still stopped the car and looked around, not that he could see anything through the rain. He squinted his eyes and tried to see but as hands suddenly slammed against his windshield, he yelped and jumped back, slamming his butt into the hand break. He had a Flash of a scene from American Horror Story and his heart stopped in his chest. As if in slow motion, a face dripping with water rose from the darkness that was the world outside of his car till he could see it through his window. Something told him to ignore the completely out of the ordinary person and drive off. Besides what was the man doing out in the middle of nowhere on foot anyway? Then again, his goody two shoes side could not be ignored. So, he took some time, ignoring the knocking on his window and tried to get his heart rate back to normal before scooting back into the driver’s seat. He didn't open the door; instead he rolled the window down a bit and stuck his face closer so that he could hear the person over the pounding of the rain. “Are you okay, mister?” Logan didn't hear what the man said, too distracted as he met with the most striking eyes he’d ever seen. Electric blue was the only way he could describe the blue of the man’s eyes. Even in the pelting rain, they were still very arresting and beautiful. He couldn’t help the shiver that racked down his spine.  It was like in the tele-novellas has recently become his obsession. A moment of significant encounter. It felt like a heat was washing over him and he was being swept up in it. Small white and black dots suddenly filled his vision, very reminiscent of a migraine. His head ached and seemed to increase about ten times in size.   It was like having an out of body experience or daydreaming, more like hallucinating. Or maybe he was being possessed, either way, he could see himself in the car and the man on the side of the road, but he had no control of his actions. It was like being trapped inside of his body but being able to watch the ongoing like a third party. He watched himself open the door and step out into the rain forcing the man to stand up as well. They were being pelted by the rain, but their clothes weren’t getting wet. He watched himself watch the man for a while then they were kissing. Not just any kiss either, he was sure he saw tongue. He really did try to stop them, to move away, he even tried shouting at them, but he couldn't do anything but watch. He couldn't even move from the spot he was standing on as he watched the man back him up till he was resting on his car. He watched on in horror as his legs were hiked up to wrap around the man’s waist with the man’s hands resting on his backside. He wasn’t usually a brazen person and he really didn't understand what he was seeing. Besides he was sure that he was just having a weird daydream, but this was so unlike any fantasy he’d ever had, especially seeing as he was making out with a man. Right before his eyes, things got heated and shirts came off. He was trying to scream, motion to them anything when another migraine made itself known. His vision blurred at the intensity of it and he found himself once again sitting in his car seat, with the windows cracked just a bit and his clothes intact and as wet as he remembered. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, trying to get that weird little black and white dots out of his head. “Are you okay?” the question asked through quivering lips spraying small drops of water on his window snapped him out of musings of his weird whatever the heck that was. He blinked a few times and concentrated on clear electric blue eyes. The rest of the man’s face was blurred out thanks to the torrential rain. Logan could however tell that he had thin lips and a light beard – maybe a few days old. “Eh, yeah. There’s just something in my eyes” Logan wasn’t sure if it was a lie or not because he just saw something he was pretty sure he didn't see. “Sorry, I was asking if you were okay. What are you doing out here anyways?” he asked the man with electric blue as he rubbed his eye. Logan sighed as he was once again distracted, his eyes really were very gripping. “Ahh, my car broke down about a mile back and I was trying to hitch a ride when the rain began. Could you please give me a ride into town?” his teeth were clattering all the way through and Logan could not help but feel sorry for him. Even as Logan directed him to enter the passenger seat, he could not help thinking that he’d never seen the guy in town before because he would have noticed such striking eyes in such a small town as Dymphna. Then again, he really couldn’t speak seeing as he rarely ventured into town else he was running dangerously low on just about everything. And even when he did go into town, he only went to about three shops and his memory was so bad that he never remembers the names or faces of the people he meets. Logan tried to make conversation as he carefully pulled into the road again by voicing his thoughts and asking if he was visiting. Even though it was partially to get rid of the awkwardness of the silence between then, a part of him wanted to know. He wanted to know about those eyes. At first glance, they had been light and sparkling but when he looked again, he noticed a heaviness that spoke of intense hardship. How he reached that conclusion, he didn’t know but a part of him knew that it was right. He reached for the console and twisted the light switch, making the previously muted yellow light brighter because he really wanted to know what electric blue-eyed man looked like. Was the rest of his face as striking as his eyes?  Again, he missed his answer as he barely managed to stop himself from gasping out loud at the man’s features. Again, the word electric filtered through his thoughts. Or maybe it was sharp. He had a straight nose, high cheek bones and a jaw line that could cut through concrete even through his quite attractive beard. His lips were thin but plump and they looked very kissable. In the yellow light of his car, he appeared orange, but Logan could tell that his skin had the slight tan of someone from a hot country. His hair was wet and plastered to his face and head in waves that lead Logan to believe he might have wavy hair. It was dark and long, but it was the kind of dark that suggests that it may be lighter when dried. He had to remind himself to turn back to the road so that he didn't crash the car.  Again, his vision blurred, and he found himself watching himself in the car with mister electric blue eyes. Like earlier, he was frozen unable to move or control his body. He watched himself leave the driver’s seat and crawl into the stranger’s lap. He continued to watch himself as he stroked the man’s face and ran his fingers through his hair. He looked down at his hands half expecting to feel the strands of hair drift through his fingers but felt nothing. He looked back up and he was now tracing his features. His hair lines, his nose, check bones and lips. He had one of hands around the stranger’s neck and his other hand gripping his hair. He was sitting right on the man’s crotch and blushed for all he was worth. And just like before they were kissing. Logan couldn't help but think about the car and who was driving and what if he crashed or hit another oncoming car. But he couldn’t think about it for long because he could see himself grinding on the stranger and making very s****l noises that he couldn't remember the last time he made. He watched as the stranger kissed down his neck and he threw his head back to give him better access, all the while gripping the man’s hair hard and trying to bring him even closer. And like before, just as the clothes came off, pain lanced through his head and he was once again in the driver’s seat driving in freak rain fall with electric blue eyes staring at him. “Are you sure you’re okay?” Logan couldn’t hear his voice before because of the pounding rain but now in the car it was much clearer and very deep, he would even sexy. All in all, the man was just very attractive and even though he hadn’t had s*x in close to, well, since college, it was still not reason he should be blatantly daydreaming about the guy. And for some reason, the thought of having s****l daydreams about someone he didn't know, not to talk of the fact that the someone is a man with a p***s, didn't disturb him as much as it should be seeing as he wasn’t even gay. Then again, he was choosing not to examine the strange hallucinations just yet, in case he had a breakdown, crashed and died. Who would feed his poor cat then? “Eh, yeah. I'm just tired and my eyes hurts for some strange reason” he rubbed his hand across his temple trying to get the ache from the migraine and the little black and white dots in his vison to reduce to no avail. “What were you saying anyway?”. “Oh, I said that my siblings just moved here and I'm the last one here because I had some final things to take of at our old house” his voice was smooth and for some reason, Logan wanted to record it. Again, he put that thought away for later examination, it would not do to have mental breakdowns in his current situation. “Ah, you must be the guys that bought that old house along the river” Logan had never been to the manor, but he had heard stories about it. “Yeah, do you know it?” “Yeah, that place is so freaking creepy. No offense” Logan couldn't help the small smile that lifted his lips at the corner at the sound of the small chuckle that escaped the electric blue-eyed stranger. “No offence taken. My sister Isis fell in love with the house and demanded we get it. She wants to do it up” the man gave another healthy chuckle. “That would be much appreciated. No one’s lived in that house since God knows when. Is that where you want me to take you? It’s along the way for me so it won’t be a problem” it would be a problem; his house was well before the old creepy manor but for reason he wanted to see this stranger home. No one should be stranded in the weather they were currently experiencing, was his reasoning and he was sticking with that for the foreseeable future. “If it’s not a bother, I would really appreciate that” the man sighed as if he was tired. Logan wasn’t surprised. Having been stranded in that rain for that amount of time trying to hitch a ride would tire anyone out. The rest of the ride, although long was in comfortable silence. Out of the corner of his eyes he could see that the stranger was asleep. He couldn't help but sneak little glances at the sleeping face. He found that he really liked the face and that bothered him. He didn't even know the guy but his face in that moment was so peaceful and childlike. It was adorable. He turned back to the road only for the thoughts of his strange hallucinations that he had been avoiding, to come to the fore-front of his mind. He really didn't know what to make of it. He wasn’t exactly a homophobe but he wasn’t gay either. He was confident enough in his sexuality to look at a man and say that he was attractive and he couldn’t say that he had ever been curious. Then again, he hasn’t really been getting any action from the ladies either. At some point he thought he was asexual and had put all thoughts of relationships out of his head to get his life straight. He took another quick look at the sleeping figure beside him and admitted that he had to be the most attractive person that he’d ever seen. Close to three hours later – due to the snail’s pace he was driving at– he pulled up to the front yard of the creepy looking manor. It was three story building right out of a horror movie. A few beams of light broke through the pouring rain adding to the creepiness of the manor. That house had been unoccupied for as long as he could remember and some of the parents in town even told their kids stories about the house to scare and discipline them. With a sigh, he turned to the handsome man sleeping in his passenger seat. He was nervous too shake him awake. For some reason, he was really apprehensive about touching him. It was a strange sense of foreboding that whispered over his skin. Nonetheless, he shook him a few times till he was jolting awake his teeth clattering slightly from the cold. Logan could see a few wisps of smoke puff out of his mouth with each breath and felt sorry for the man despite his own sorry state.   “Eh, we’re here” he motioned to the house when the man gave him a blank look. The man’s eyes widen a tiny fraction as he remembered what happened. “I fell asleep?”  He rubbed his eyes a little as he let out a yawn and Logan couldn't help but find it kind of cute. “You should get inside and take a warm bath. Those wet clothes can’t be doing you any good” Logan smiled a little and tried ignore the sudden crushing sadness that threatened to knock him out. “Ah yeah, sure. I’ll see you around?” it was a question and Logan smiled as hope lanced through him. Hope of what? He really didn't know and he really didn't want to find out. The crushing sadness was overwhelming. “Definitely.  Dymphna is a smaller town than it seems” he chuckled as a twinkle sparkled in electric blue. “Good, then I’ll see you around” with a last smile, the stranger opened the door, got out and shut it behind him.  Even though he couldn't see clearly, Logan waited till the blurry figure reached the door of the creepy house before he pulled way and started back to his small cottage.
