Nobody knows the selection process. They just found themselves there. Most of them were used to it but the new ones always panicked the first few minutes before it sinks in. Especially the wayward and lazy ones, scared at the prospect of having to do actual work. They were in a pristine white room with blue stripes and ripples running up the wall.
